Glad to see you're appreciating what is truely the classic era of Live in my eyes. Seems like on here the people in my age range (40) are really the only ones who get behind that disc for some reason. MJ is the one for me. It's a masterpiece. You could not be more dead on with that 1st paragraph, feel exactly the same way. The shows I saw on the TC tour were just amazing.

They really jobbed us on that homecoming show. If u remember the press release promised: special suprises, possibly an acoustic set thrown in and a video history/documentary before the show. What did we get? Nada's. Their high school musical teacher on Pillar and their Mom's came out and got flowers during LC. Whoopity Fucking Doo!! For the $ we payed we all got screwed that night. And no Shit Towne after all the hype about playing it in Shit Towne, WTF!!

Exactly, I was sitting in the 2nd row and as it ended, I kept looking around thinking, "WHAT THE FUCK?!" I payed a hell of a lot less to see them just a few months later at the York Fair, and that was actually a better show. Such a disappointment.

Whoa that's a huge generalization. Willing to bet there are a lot of people under 40 on here who love MJ.

I'm just saying from what I've seen on the boards (and I'm a newbie so what I've seen is limited) people my age MJ seems to be "the one" and people a little younger seem to have more of an affinity for SS. I'm sure there are plenty under 40 that love MJ, but becasue it wasn't the disc that got them into Live it isn't their favorite. Not stirring the pot or trashing anyone, just stating what I've seen in my limited time. If I was born at a different time I'd prob be the same way. It's usually the disc you heard 1st from any band that most people tend to hold in a special place is a better way of saying it. Oh no, there I go...a huge generalization! eyebrow.gif

I'm happy to say that I just barely slip under that line. Under 40 (for now) and love Mental Jewelry.
