I believe he bet me on whether I would buy 20 copies. I think i'll be getting 30. Whoever needs one and can't spring for it due to hard times, let me know.

Music to the people.

LOL I think that this album is a lil more jesus and lordy than SFBM but I think I can still enjoy it without feeling like its being preechy! (I think thats how u spell it!) Yes the connotations are a lot more but I think you could easily enjoy drive, grace, in ur light and a few others that I like without feeling like its christian rock. I also like fire on the mountain even though its a bit more christiany than the others.....I think you can still interpret the songs how you wish to but it is unfortunately a little more christian than past albums....Still think its better than SFBM tho!! Icouldn't stand another album of falsettos!!!

Horrible texts.
Awful musicians.
Nice melodies

Tremendous voice.

What is the baldy doing to himself?

-tis my review.

I voted SUCKS. And it hurts even more because during my short break from the forums I could not have the balls to spin it as a whole at least ONCE. It hurts to see what my biggest ... i dunnoo... Idol? Fave singer?.. has become

No shit. The worst of the worst are the one's who hurt children via rape, or any other sort of abuse.

but... after all... maybe they do like Alive and that make them saints?

QUOTE(Dutchie @ Jul 2 2010, 12:15 pm) *

Did everyone enjoy the rest of the albums and songs on first listen?

Every fucking single one from first to last.

Over here

Damn, Bob, why did you have to write this message? If you are serious, I am definitely in.

PS Of fucking COURSE I forgot one point while typing. The infamous Scott Stapp keeps saying in each interview that he found god and gave up drinking and is a good family guy and etc etc etc and that did not influence the brilliant, heavy, modern, full of mean riffs new Creed album with angry texts and full of men's attitude towards daily life.

Shit, i would rather have Ed preach and prey and show his angst on stage. And Stapp is nearly 40... Just like the baldy...

Ed has very different views towards religion now than he did in the mid-90's. Operation Spirits lyrics were changed because Ed wouldn't sing lyrics that were against his beliefs.

So he'll no longer be singing Lakini's Juice ever again?

Can't go by what others say.....judge for yourselves....if you like it , you like it, if you don't you don't , simple as that. Don't let what others say influence you what to like.

Still waiting on a response to my question. Does this mean one can expect Ed never to sing Lakini's Juice in concert again?

Grace, Just In Time, Zion are ok. But other songs suck. I clicked to "It sucks". I don't want to listen more Eddie K.'s noises. He has to think about why Live's sellings were bad after 2000.
Alive hasn't got any instrumental passage and songs are easy. Ok, sometimes easy is good, like I Alone or Heaven but it's bored easy!

He needs a real band to rock! rockin.gif

I don't believe that Lakini's Juice outright knocks Christianity, Operation Spirit did.

Well, here they are. Suppose you direct us to the anti-Christian content:

it was an evening i shared with the sun
to find out where we belong
from the earliest days
we were dancing in the shadows
.
more wine
cuz i got to have it
more skin
cuz i got to eat it
.
inside the outside
by the river
used to be so calm
used to be so sane
I rushed the lady's room
took the water from the toilet
washed her feet and blessed her name
more peace
is such a dirty habit
.
slow down, we're too afraid
.
let me ride
let me ride
burn my eyes
let me ride

I can hardly wait.

I have. Operation Spirit lyrics stated that Jesus meant nothing to Ed today. When that was no longer the case, Ed changed the lyrics. Lakini's Juice's lyrics are much more ambigious.

Ed never said he was a fan of organized religion, I personally don't see him attending church every Sunday. However, he has found some-level of comfort in Jesus and if that works for a person, its' totally cool.

When singing it live the lyrics were changed to:

"Heard a lot of talk about this Jesus
A man of love and a man of strength
But what a man was 2000 years ago
means a hell of alot to me today"

Personally I think it ruins the context of the song and it would be better just not being performed at all than ruining it's original intention.
