QUOTE(Pokey @ Jul 3 2010, 10:45 am) *

So what if he brought up the comparison, it makes sense to compare himself to Ed. Who else would he compare himself to? Ed is his direct opposite in this situation, the same as Ramy is Gracey's opposite and so on. When did he say he was a BETTER performer? jesus christ you're twisted, he explained how he was DIFFERENT.

But no one asked how he was DIFFERENT than Ed. He answered a question he wasn't asked, because he, like the rest of TGF are for some reason, are fixated on Ed Kowalczyk.

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Jul 3 2010, 9:38 am) *

Just listened to the audio, the interviewer didn't mention Ed, Kevin did. Not only that, but Kevin came across condescending and conceited about how this show will be much different than a Live show. He mentioned he saw Ed perform on "video" and that he just basically isn't as good of a performer as he is.

Another member of The Gracious Few coming across petty. If Ed knocked Kevin publicly, I would feel the same way.

The Gracious Few needs to show from Grace and move on. Everytime they open their mouths they just sound more pathetic.

Oh surprise, surprise its Nick to the rescue to defend EK. I love LIVE as much as anyone could possibly love a band and followed them much longer then you my friend, but when someone is wrong they are wrong, period. If EK wanted to go off and do his own thing that is fine. CT, CG, and PD wanted to keep the band together no matter what obviously, but it got to the point where it wasn't worth it, even for the fans sake. I can tell you this the fans are who make and break a band and LIVE has as loyal a base of fans as you will ever find, but Nick you are wrong my friend, EK has lost touch with the base and if he wants to go another direction he will do so without several of us. I will always respect what EK has done for the world of music, but for the most part his style of music he is going with isn't to my liking.

lol you're the one fixated on Ed. This is the first time to my knowledge that Kevin has really mentioned Ed and it wasn't in a negative light at all. You're only hearing what you want to hear. Kevin actually expanded on things in his interview, you kept mentioning how it's like paint drying well he at least is able to talk rather then the pre prepared statements that Ed comes up with. TH german guy pressed Ed about TGF and Live and Ed fell to pieces in the interview and couldn't even give a truthful answer to the direct question asked to him.

If Kevin has said he was a better singer than Ed, then that could come off as arrogant, but he didn't. Whether he was directly asked or not, he just stated differences and what people can expect to see of him that they didn't of Ed etc ... if you can't handle that then you are just pathetic because I'm sure Ed couldn't give a damn. I have never EVER seen anyone so over protective of a musical personality as you. And that's saying something because people over at the Morrissey boards are pretty scarily obsessed.

Kevin mentioned that they'd be playing a few Live songs, and that it would be a different experience for Live fans, then went on to further explain. Sounds pretty damn innocent to me. It was nice for him to address the fan base and explain it.

We get more honesty and openness with C&C&P, now with Kevin & Sean, we have a whole new expeience. I've never gotten anything from Ed's interviews than sheer conjecture always some cliche answer to everything.

He made it a point to say he was a better, more interactive front man than Ed. While I don't believe that to be true, if he really thought he was better, he wouldn't feel the need to say it. Only deeply insecure people run down other talented people in their field. The Gracious Few are all about tearing down Ed, and I know it drives them crazy that Ed pays no mind to their nonsense and just goes about his business.

There is absolutely nothing about that interview that states or implies that Kevin thinks he is better than Ed. The only way to draw that out of his comments is to be so insecure yourself that you have idolized Ed to such an extent that you need to take every measure possible to protect his identity. Including imagining that Kevin thinks he is better than Ed so you can be the knight in shining armor and come to Ed's defense. It's really quite pathetic.

You are the pot calling the kettle black when you point to another person and accuse that person of doing something that you are guilty of doing yourself.

Example: "You are accusing me of being lazy? Ha! That's the pot calling the kettle black!"

Example: "because he, like the rest of TGF are for some reason, are fixated on Ed Kowalczyk."

That's fair, but as a performer he really brings the crowd into the performance. The guy just knows how to connect with an audience.

Maybe The Gracious Few will now be Kevin's main focus, but him taking shots at Ed just makes him look petty and second rate.

Shut up already you coin collecting faggot. Ed used to be a good front man. Now he's just a waxed down, egotistical douche bag. Nothing even decent about him.

You coming on here and making those comments makes you look retarded, third rate and more "petty" than you could possibly conceive. I'd rather look petty and second rate thanks. Fucking retard.

If Kevin actually believed he was the better frontman, he wouldn't feel the need to knock Ed in public.

Unlike you, you cowardly cunt fuck, some people simply tell it as it is. Kevin is the better front man, and right now, the superior singer. Go back to swinging on Ed's cock.

THE SAME INSECURITY that drives you to keep posting in these threads?? What a fucking imbecile you are. Are you really too stupid to see the contradiction in almost everything you say? You seriously remind me of an 8 year old who doesn't get what he wants. I sure hope god made it so that you can't have kids. People like you should never be allowed to breed your blatant ignorance and stupidity.

Yeah, I've no idea how it was intended cause I haven't listened to the audio, but before Ed become the prancing cheeseball on stage he was one of them "all in his mind" kind of singers. And that was cool. It made him seem like some kid of mystical genius almost cause he'd stand there as this wirey little bald fella, and he'd belt out some wonderful lyrics with an amazing voice. And that was great. It was all about the music. Wasn't "watch me perform", it was "listen to the music".

But now....... not so much.
