Just remember guys, Nick has already said that he just knows that he'll love this cd. So really, no matter how much of a piece of shit it truly is, he will not admit it.

There is a difference here. You made that statement before you heard the majority of the tracks on Alive. I've heard all of the TGF's songs.

Live versions. I've heard the majority of Ed's songs in live versions too.

With the exception of 1 show, I believe every set list that I've seen from Ed has only had 2 or 3 new songs in it, and it has been loaded with Live songs.

Ed songs that I've heard:

Grace, Drive, The Great Beyond, Drink, Zion, Soul Whispers, Just in Time.

So 7 of 11.

You cheated and looked on a set list to differentiate the tracks didn't you?

No I'm aware of what songs Ed has played. I've heard Drink and Zion at Open Wings Broken Strings, and saw the rest of youtube.

No I meant to tell the tracks from one another. On the album they all just run into each other and sound like one extremely boring, horribly put together song.

But it was an accurate description of TGF's album.

Not taking sides on this issue at all -- need to see both Ed and TGF live to make my judgements... however, I can say that I've been to a lot of shows, and played a bunch on my own as well. The number of people in attendance at a show doesn't dictate the quality of the show, or the band on stage.

Extreme example that I think we can all relate to:

Justin Bieber is coming through London, ON next month. He has sold out the local arena of just under 10,000. (No, I'm not going.. but many others are)
I recently saw Jimmy Gnecco at the Horseshoe Tavern in TO with about 50 other people.

Does Jimmy deserve a bigger crowd? Yes.
Will he ever get it? Hopefully... but honestly probably not. His music just doesn't have the mass appeal (which is part of the reason I love it so much)
Is he "better" than Bieber? (Hell) yes.

Not comparing Ed and TGF to the above acts at all. Just saying, as has been said many times on this board, numbers, sales, venue sizes, etc are not an adequate indicator of the quality of an act. It's a much more complicated equation than that.

That's odd, since you have not heard the majority of the tracks. I get it, you're just talking out of your ass again.
