I totally understand if certain people want to move to the new board. It is very cool with me. If FansofLive ends because of it, the site had a good 9 year run.

This is a LIVE website so there is going to be conflict for both Eddie K and TGF. Personally, I think having a place for both groups to discuss is interesting.

What is sad to me is that long before I remember most of you people around here, Dan ran a beautiful message board. He kept all of his personal feelings and bias out of this place, other than the fact that he was quite fond of SS as his favorite album. He offered rare mp3 downloads and concert recordings from his extensive personal collection, downloadable right from his own server right here on this site. He organized an annual cover contest at great time and expense and offered all of those fan recordings off of his own bandwidth. He allowed free speech and yet maintained order. People didn't even attack the official SOY board very much when he was the sheriff. Speech was free and fun and there was decorum. Dan had class. He kept anonymous, even at shows that he attended. This place has a venerable history. It is like a historic monument to live. It was hallowed ground.

And for the current owner/operator to say that he would just let it go away - no big deal. Shooing people off of the board to someplace else because they like the current official members of Live and not the ex-lead singer. Crapping all over the current members of Live because why again exactly? Becoming a shill for da EK and stating that the purpose of this board is to promote EK (not be a place for discussion about Live and Live related topics like I thought it was).

It's sad. It's like seeing a once-great, historical city becoming a run down slum run by a corrupt and ignorant mayor. That's sad and pathetic. I really don't want to see this place go away. It shouldn't. I would like to see it operated differently. Maybe by someone different.

Oh got it. We all got heated in there for sure. He deleted to cover his venom. Constantly put in his place by the insiders!!! I didnt notice it gone, should have known.

I am sorry but I will back down to no person who lies and cannot answer posters direct questions. Better for him to close his trap and delete the evidence.

I for one will be happy to leave this board and post on one dedicated to TGF alone. It it obvious that there will never be an objective board here. I really think it should become a FansofDAEK board and the rest of us can move on. I am only posting here now because of my excitement over TGF and having seen them live. It's a shame there is really nowhere to go where you can objectively post your opinion these days. Anxiously awating Zman's new site!

you know what, mate, you are right. I still remember the enormous clash aroundthe last held Cover Contest with severe struggles of some great covers, when we were proud to win it. Sitting here online all nights long to see zounds of new messages and fierce discussions, when I had dial-up connection... Unforgettable!!!

and on all the rest... I do not want to say anything bad... but every single word you said about NectarDan can be easily applied to Dangum, I feel. I deeply respect this bud and even do love him to some extent, though I never saw his face. I have a great feeling that he is a very nice person and see how he does it? The way it HAS to be. He is a huge LIVE fan and that is why he simply supports and leeps interest inboth sides, I figure. And does it perfectly well.

With this small post let me simply say THANK YOU DANGUM!!!!!
