QUOTE(OutToDry @ May 1 2010, 11:12 pm) *

TGF has given a statement on official release of the first single Honest Man:

IPB Image

The Gracious Few The official release for "Honest Man" is May 11th. Some stations already have it....obviously. We will certainly keep you up to date on its release.46 minutes ago · Report

So TGF will have a release out earlier than Ed will? I really would have bet money on Ed being much faster with that. but this is very soon.

Btw, do you think both parties will release physical single releases?

I'd hope it comes out on a disc, but I'd bet on itunes first. I also feel getting this song first is a statement to the other camp, plus the meaning of the song fits with the current state of the country.

After a few listens I've got to say: the three of Live really still have it. Their talents (combined with Sean and Kevin) really show up here.

But I can't help thinking with everything I hear from the TGF "this could have been from LIVE if they didnt break up". I know I must not think that way, and that we must "celebrate sumtin'' new!!!!" ( sarcasm.gif ), but I can't stop imagining how great it was if Ed was willing to make a group record again, released that he had to use his voice different again (like in the 90ies), hell even his change he showed on Purifier was good enough for me), and that they made a song like Honest Man as the four of them.

Oke, I'll stop crying about Live, but couldnt help it.

Now show the real rock, TGF!!! rockin.gif

I don't care when the single comes out. I want the entire freaking album. Listening to a work mix of Appetite, and an incomplete cut of Honest Man just isn't enough.

If TGF are rushing out a single to counter Ed's, they really are pathetic. They are acting like a women who says they are over their ex, but still bases their life around him anyway.

Also, I think people rag on Nick too much for his Ed preference. Sure, it might seem silly sometimes, but there are plenty of people here sucking TGFs dicks and throwing everything they can at Ed but, since they're the majority (at least in terms of regular active posters), it doesn't get pointed out all that much.

Yeah I agree, dunno how Nick puts up with it. It's fast becoming a bandwagon that's all too easy to jump on but he doesn't do himself any favours, I'm not sure he can help himself when it comes to this sort of thread. Good to know not everyone is smoking on the TGF pole though. Havent heard the track yet, though I imagine my thoughts weren't be too far from yours Ray. I'm open to surprises though smile.gif

Who said they are rushing it out to counter Ed's? Jesus christ man, just because you don't like the song doesn't mean the whole thing is a conspiracy against Ed. Do you think the soul reason this band exists is to fuck Ed over? Also, why is a woman who says they are over their ex and not a man? Or just a person in general. Damn man.
And Merica and Deku wonder why everyone rags on Nick, it's statements like these which are based on absolutely nothing but the way he seems to view everything.

Seperate to that, I remember they mentioned they went back into the studio in PA to record some songs that were done after the main recording of the album .. so either the album will have more than your standard 12-13 tracks, or a bonus disc might be included, or they could end up being B-sides to a single.

I dont think they are rushing anything. Record has been pushed back a few times to get it right.
Hey tag youre it. Don't make me drive up there....on second thought, i'll need to get a breathing apparatus first lol.gif

Your quote is proof undeniable that you've lost it man.....head gone back in the sand

Thank you, exactly my thoughts. Whoever may be smoking the TGF pole has nothing on what Nick is saying these days. He's on a mission. A mission up to da EK pole.

Yeah I only saw that absurd post from Nick about jealous ex-wives or whatever after I had posted. I think I get it now.

I get that Nick says some questionable stuff, but every time it seems people have to take it upon themselves to point everything out. Gets a little tiring is all.

then perhaps if he would stop shitting on anything TGF people won't point it out. The scales have tipped and he's doing more of this shit than anyone raggin on Ed.

I know it's now Nick's site and everything, but I would seriously wonder if when Zman gets his site up and running that this site could turn purely into an Ed forum and Zman's can be used as the TGF one as it seems Nick has no interest whatsoever in TGF. Again it's fine for him not to like the music, but his view of TGF is completely misguided and whilst new people to this forum may question why a lot of people posting here don't always have favourable things to say about the bands that this site is supposedly supporting. I think the more pressing question would be why the owner and moderator is putting time and effort into using this for a band that seemingly disgusts him?

What I am curious about is if down the road Live were to reform, what would Nick's view then be of the band? Would he call C,C&P money grabbing coat tail riders for getting back with Ed? Would he literally have disdain for 3/4 of the band? Or would they suddenly be top stand up guys because they're back in camp-Ed ?

He's already on record that they will be back together by 2012. Not sure how he can know this, he has said it was because both parties may have to if both projects fail. I'd have to go back and look for those statements I hope zman has a TGF forum as I will be active there if he does.

here are the comments:
Live will be back by 2012. There will be too much touring money on the table for the guys to not do it.
and you were way wrong on this:
According to Facebook, it seems are playing secret shows in Florida.
