That would depend on what bitrate your MP3s are encoded at. Why not download one track and compare?

Thanks heaps for this Dan, haven't listened to TDOAD in years. I wonder if it is a true 'pure source' version (doesn't sound that much different to the mp3s to be honest).

With the improved technology for transfering cassette to wav these days, it certainly would be great to get a new transfer. Any lucky owners of the cassette out there willing to give it a go? whistle.gif

Most definitely. There are still some 'unplayed' tapes out there so if a transfer could be done from one of those then it's the closest we're going to get to an official release.

I thought that was the case, I meant did 'Sub-Punk' actually have a pure source to produce the CD
or simply convert the mp3s that were circulating back then.

The CD was pressed in 1995. I seriously doubt they used MP3s 15 years ago. MP3 wasn't even a popular method of distributing audio back then. I suspect Sub-Punk got a copy of the tape (seems to be well-worn) and transferred it to CD.

I would just like to voice my dislike of rapidshare... Half of the time when I try to download files from there, it tells me that no more free users are allowed atm because of server bandwidth. Maybe it's something to do with me trying to download when all the 'mericans are awake and sucking the life out of rapidshare wink.gif

Anyway I'm been stuck at fifth file of this bootleg for a few days now bomb.gif
