And Ed is back to Twittering his normal "I'm so happy and at peace" crap. Ed we do deserve something other than fluff from you. Respond to the fans that have been paying you all these years.

Ed's latest regarding 'Glory', asking for the fans to write him lyrics......Sounds like a preacher man saying "I am the light of the world" while his hand reaches into the congregations pocket.

Twitter is for narcissitic people who truley believe the rest of the world wants to know what you are doing every minute of your day.!
The spiritual, relegious declarations where a complete turn off for me...and know...Forrest Gump quotes???? what is he smokin????

I bet we get a splinter of the original cross with every Itune download from his next album!!!

Perhaps its the drugs.........for those who remember Syd Barrett, the orginal Pink Floyd frontman, too much acid reduced him to a vegatative state. The Pf's guys stopped telling him when rehearsals were so they could carry on w/o him.....he finally stopped showing up. He went through a similiar behavoral change much like we're seeing here with EK. Not saying this is true, simply a hypothesis.

Glory is the state of euphoria I feel every morning when I'm on acid... sarcasm.gif

I'm confused by Ed's latest twit, or tweet, or whatever it's called. Is he actually crying tears of joy over 4 comments, one which reads, "Glory is taking my dog out for a walk so she can sniff the world. It makes her so happy. She has cancer and arthritis."???

..the fuck is going on with him?

WHen I saw them at the HOB in Atlantic City he look like he was on something. He slurred and swayed. I have been in the addiction field for 15+ years.

Atleast that what it appeared to me. I was disappointed in that performance!

Maybe we'll see him on Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab next season. The camera loves Ed, and it would probably get huge ratings. That would be priceless. laugh.gif

who knows, looks and sound to me like a guilty persons deflections with trippy happy sappy scomments.

If this was his end game to get control and stuff, what other way to give himself a daily affirmation with a nice big back slap while rationalizing the guilt.....it's all spin.

Don't you have be a celebrity to get on the show. Ed hasn't been one for several years.

I've been a fan since 1990 when a buddy of mine in college let me listen to a bootleg cassette tape of this new band called LIVE. I don't even think Mental Jewelry was released yet, but I was an instant fan. When I first heard some of the leaks of Deep Enough, I was excited about V coming out, only to realize the hard driving version I had heard was replace by an entire Pro-tooled album that was so over produced I could barely recognize my favorite band. It just went downhill with few bright spots.

When I first saw Ed's site, couple or so months ago, I thought that was cool he's sorda doing his own thing, but when I started reading some his posts, I thought to myself, "What's the deal with guy?" I wondered if anyone ever counted the number of "lol's" he posted. He seems to have become a cheap imitatation of himself hawking mugs, coffee, and other things that would seemingly be beneath him.

I love music and I hate to admit it, but I do take it kind of personal. I used to hope that one day it would just be the four of them getting back to the place that made them great. Now we won't be hearing anything from them again. I've talked about this whole thing with several friends over the past days and no one seems to even know or remember who they were. How sad that one of the all time greatest bands could become so completely irrelevent. It's about the band, not the individual. There's plenty of precedent to relfect upon about that very thing and what happens when one or more members lose site of that. It's shame that Ed's own arrogance could make him that blind for all these years. Each successive album being less and less well received by even the hard core fans. They certainly weren't making new fans. You'd think Ed would have seen that and thought long and hard and have a reality check about where he needed to be.

At this point, I don't give crap anymore. Ed can LOL himself to oblivion on his site hawking coffee cups and he can continue writing songs about rivers, butterflys, and unicorns and singing falsetto. I'm done as a fan. I'm anxious to hear the new TGF stuff. That I can wait for.

Hey Chris, do you still have that tape?

Who are you to decide that
who is without sin cast the first stone
and you know when you point 1 finger at another the other 3 points at yourself

I do not like to choose a side
The boys have brought us years of good music
And it is unfortunate that it ends this way, but it is their battle
And so far you have heard only 1 side of the story

I have to say that I can't believe all of the negative ed sentiments on here....This is the guy that is the heart and soul of live who wrote most of the songs that we as live fans love so much and we have not heard what he has to say. It still strikes me as odd the email chad sent out...he didn't need to go into the level of detail he did and the fact he did suggested he was trying to get live fans on board for his project and against ed. We don't know if this is a p.r. move because ed has already had a successful start to a solo career and they are trying to win back live fans or whether there is truth to the story.

Either way we should not run off half cocked and presume the other party who has not yet spoken is guilty. Indeed what Ed has done by not retailiating is basically turning the other cheek rather than adding fuel to the fire. He could easily respond and create a twitter war but he has not done this.

I will sit back and enjoy what TGF and Ed churn out in the near future and not judge either of them harshly based on an email.

I think that if you really like live as much as I do you should do the same.
