this all sounds very strange to me. Ed just blatantly stole from his friends? Diverted funds? Like a bank robber or internet hacker? Did he wear a balaclava?

Then again, without an official statement from the band im willing to believe the most ridiculous, far out story that any half-wit cooks up! Say that sounds like a great topic for a new thread!!!

It wasnt in the open and you really think Ed will come out and say "I screwed my band mates" That would be career suicide for him. Its true. The person I heard this from would not lie to me.

It is so great to hear Gracey tearing it up, the stuff he was doing at the beginning of that last clip was INSANE. We've never heard him play stuff that difficult.

Also, before anyone complains about the sound quality, these are unmixed and unmastered tracks. Can't wait to hear the finished product!!!

It's funny how these people pop up with all the inside goss with only 10 posts to their name. Like you only JUST discovered this board now of all times and wern't hear posting 2-3 years ago.

Indeed, it is the truth. I did just find this board. I wasnt much of a live fan until a friend of mine took me to a live concert when his boss got him the tickets.

If you just missed the post I deleted with real music from TGF. I posted 3 songs with about 25 seconds to each song. A few people were able to listen to it.
I do have an "in" however if it gets out that I am providing some info I will probably get my friend fired and he will kick my A$$

I just stumbled onto TGF's wikipedia and it says that the band will be releasing their CD on their own label "Questionable Entertainment." Does anyone know more?

That said, I don't know whether I believe the statement about Ed "stealing" money or not. However, that is a bold accusation to make without proof backing it up. SOY would have had you majorly banned for that one.

I'm glad to hear that the new stuff sounds good, however a song making it to the top of the charts is a hard thing to gauge. A top 10 single is possible on a smaller rock chart, but a number 1 single is a remote possibility in my mind for TGF, especially if they are releasing off their own label.

Ok retracting my statement about ties to TGF .. thanks for the link too. But the whole story about Ed stealing money and such ... It's not that it's completely ridiculous but it does seems a little off. Ed concentrating more on solo shows where the money goes all to him, that's believable, Ed writing all the songs so song writing credits are in his favour is believable .. but from the way it's explained here it's like he's gone all h4x0r on Live's joint bank account and syphoned money out overseas using a Nigerian email fraud scheme -

"Dear Mr Taylor Chad ... I am Prince Amahamadma Ghounglengen and I have chosen YOU to be the heir of my $50 billion dollar fossil fuel empire ... please give me your credit card so I can deposit you the money. Sincerely, Not Ed"...

and if this was the case then TGF live up to their name by doing absolutely nothing (or so it seems) to get the money back that they earned .. no court cases etc?

Hmm... This makes perfect sense now. Ed was the one who went solo first and appears to care a lot more about making money. (Coffee, Recordings, Touring, pendants, belly button lint) He seemed to be ignoring the breakup but what he is doing is defining it in his terms rather than anyone elses terms. He is really an arrogant person and if he can't get his way... or MAKE his way, he finds a way.

I'm psyched that The band can still be called Live even without Ed as the singer. According to your testimony, he has betrayed the band and, because he is the only one coming out with new stuff, we believed him. We also believed him because Live now looks like they just replaced Ed and it victimized him.

Without Ed, there is no Live. Look what happened to Fuel without Brett. Also, why would Ed have the rights to all the songs, but the rest have the rights to the band name? Doesn't add up for me.

Ed can sing the songs, but he doesnt have the rights to the songs. The band has the rights to the songs....Its no different then a band covering a song.

Also, I dont know why I would be banned for making that accusation about Ed. Its true. I dont know the exact details but all I do know that him and another person within the organization did some behind the scenes stuff that diverted money that was rightfully for all four, instead diverted just to Ed.

As for the record label I think Taylor and Gracey own the record label and "signed" TGF to their label. and they will sign other acts as well. It only makes sense.

On another note. Say they do make another LIVE album but without Ed. we should start a topic of who would be the ideal singer to replace him! Any wish lists?
