Marije from SOY posted this review of Adam's show with a good Live tidbit in it:

Since no one posted a review of this show so far, here's (a short) one!
Adam and the Weight came to Europe last week for two shows, one in the Netherlands on the 15th of November and one in Luxembourg on the 16th of November. I went to see them on the 15th of November in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. Since Live is still pretty big in the Netherlands (large amout of fanclubmembers) I expected it to be sold out. The venue was not that large, I guess for around 500 people. There were only around 100-150 people there that evening, which was a shame! The show was really great, so I think the guys deserved some more public.
Anyway, they played the following songs:
- For the one
- Big one
- Sitting in New York
- God love the lazy
- All night
- No ordinary love
- The dream
- Child in need
- Never good at fighting
- Conversations
- Wonder if I could
- Come undone
- The ocean
Encore:
- Let me in
- Light of memory
- Love me goodbye

After the show the band walked around to talk to everyone, which was very nice! Adam said during the show that there was 'something bigger coming up for you' in the new year. When we talked to him later he said he hoped to be back (in the Netherlands) in March. I don't know exactly what he ment of course, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed... sigh... a Live show in March would be great (or is this wishfull thinking ). Saw Jimmy walking around too, but no time to say hi since my friends wanted to go home (ggrr).

Here you go:
http://www.mediafire.com/?bvnjtlr2jd2 - 86 megabytes. WMV format.

Unfortunately, the last 30 seconds or so is cut...

Here's the setlist:
1. ??
2. I Look Forward
3. God Love the Lazy
4. Conversations
5. Come Undone
6. The Ocean
7. Love Me Goodbye

It's a semi-pro shot. The venue was selling copies for $100 each, but Adam said he was planning to release it himself. This never eventuated.

Adam plays solo acoustic shows as well as full band electric shows in the US. His next US tour date (May 8th, Pittsburgh PA) is going to be an acoustic gig.

I know that this review is really late but better late then never... shrug.gif

We got to Hard Rock around 7:30 to eat and saw Adam getting ready for the sound check, actually I saw Nate before I realized that Adam was standing next to him, they played half of The Ocean which was really cool to watch. There were 2 other bands scheduled to play that night and I had assumed that Adam would be playing last but they ended up sticking him in the middle, which ended up helping me because I had to get up at 5:00 am for work the next day. The first 6 songs were performed with Nate Van Name on keyboards and Dave, I didn't catch his last name, who was on acoustic guitar which meant Adam was guitar less on most of the songs which was a nice change and for the last 2 songs it was just Adam on an acoustic guitar. The song that stuck out the most for me that night was Come Undone, which is odd because normally I'm not a huge fan of this song played live because it never sounds right without Brentt or Omarr singing backing vocals but this was the best live version of the song I've ever heard.

Setlist in order:

The Ocean
All Night
Never Good at Fighting
Come Undone
The Dream
Love Me Goodbye
Loneliest Hour
Light of Memory

Also on Adam's setlist but unfortunately not played:

Love in a Riddle (this is the second time I have seen this song on a setlist and still have yet to hear it)
Watching the Grey (I had asked him if he was planning on playing this song, it made it to the setlist but didn't get played)
Child in Need (would have loved to had heard this one again)
Let Me In (again would have loved to heard it)

I had a great time would have love to see the other songs on the setlist played but I'm not complaining, hell he could have played one song and left and I would still be happy. Towards the end of his set Adam made a comment about being back in Pittsburgh sometime this summer with Collective Soul and Blues Traveler, I believe he said something about the amphitheater but the crowd noise was pretty high so I'm not sure if he was talking about the Chevy amphitheater or not. Anyway my sister took the pictures from that night if anyone is interested they can be found here.

Not sure if anyone cares but here's a review from Adam's show in Cleveland on April 2nd.

One of my cats has been sick since Tuesday so I wasn't sure if I could make Adam's show in Cleveland on Thursday or not because I was waiting to see improvement in his health. He starting eating and drinking better that morning so I called my Mom to see if she was interested in going to Cleveland with me, I know it sounds lame but she's loves going to see Adam play, and got my brother to come over to watch the cat for the night. Adam started playing around 9:00, I was surprised to see that neither Nate or Gabriel were with him, but it was a nice change to see him play by himself. When we got to Wilbert's there was only about eight other people there, I was extremely shocked when all of them left before or shortly after Adam started. I felt bad that no one else showed up to see him play but it was kind of nice to have our own private show.

Setlist:
The Loneliest Hour
I Look Forward
Come Undone
All Night
Sweet Angel/Light of Memory
Love in a Riddle
Ordinary - Portion
Glory
A Growing Voice
Never Good Fighting
The Dream

Adam played for almost an hour, after the first four song he asked if there was anything we wanted to hear and I asked for Sweet Angel, which he played the first verse of before transitioning into Light of Memory. After Love in a Riddle he asked again and I said anything from Portion, not really expecting him to play anything, he said he would try and got out the first verse of Ordinary. We talk to him after the show about Gabriel's new cd, asked him if he knew if Live would be coming back to the Cleveland area any time soon and he said he wasn't sure. He did mention that Live's will be doing a summer tour but didn't give any sort of information about it. All and all it was an excellent show, one of the best shows of his I've seen.
