I was on the shinedown message board and jasin's mom, Bell, posted. From what she posted, Jasin is getting better and is recovering. Not sure of the details. It just all sounds so sad.

Anyway, a very nice single it is!

Bell posts updated quite often actually, Jasin is doing well and thanks everyone for the love and support.

Also, I pre ordered The Sound of Madness. I seriously can't wait, I want it now. Shinedown are dangerously close to Live in my all-time-favourite-bands list.

I just amended my order, as Amazon.co.uk now has the Limited Edition version of the album, so I hopped over to that one, as it has a few extra bonus tracks. June 24th - THE SOUND OF MADNESS!

Yeah I just recently got that - the Pull Mix is pretty sweet, it really shows you Brent's vocal power.

The acoustic "save me" is the shit, too.

Have you seen them live? I saw them with Halestorm (!!!!!) and omg~great! I am so glad I saw shinedown with Jasin.

Sadly I haven't seen them. When they last came to England, I didn't know they existed. I'm hoping they tour England soon though, if definitely going if they do.

Is it true that the lead singer can't sing the chorus of "I Dare You" live in concert because its out of his vocal range. I was reading their message board and someone claimed that they sometimes play the live track in its place.

I don't think it's a case of can't, because I believe he can do it but it's very hard. In the studio he probably recorded the chorus seperately so his vocals were totally fine, but in concert when he's already done a load of songs that night, a million concerts in the past week, it's a big ask of a guy who amitted he hasn't really taken lessons - so he's not "technical" the best singer ever, he operates on raw talent. I PERSONALLY think he uses a backing track for the chorus, but does he mime? I'm undecided, sometimes I think yes, sometimes I think no. I don't mind either way though, he's still fricking awesome. So, *maybe* he can't do it concert, but I fully believe he hit the notes for ther studio version.

Put it this way....Brent's vocals hit my heart a hell of a lot more than Ed's these days. The passion, the raw emotions are ever present in Brent's vocals and lyrics than that " la la la...da da da daaaaaaaaaaa" bull shit ed is spewing.

And, fuck technical abilities or what others perceive as musical abilities. What LiVE is putting out now some high school garage band has more depth...that is not the most grammatically correct sentence, but you get it.

God, if only you could put Ed and Brent on stage together, I would love to see who would kick ass in that dept.

and, YES, I am a fan of LiVE.

At least Ed doesn't use CD tracks in place of his own vocals. If that was acceptable, anyone could be a rockstar. I was actually thinking of going to see Shinedown in concert until I heard that nonsense. You go to a concert to hear live music, I can listen to the CD in the comfort of my own home.

That's nice. I would still rather have Brent use cd tracks of HIS inspiring lyrics than the SFBM fluff.

Hey hey hey, let's not bash Brent or Shinedown. There is no proof that a track it used, and if it IS, it's only for the insanely difficult (for Brent, at least) chorus of one song. If anything, it's for the good of the fans who WANT to here those high notes, so they maybe don't let them down by using a track. Alternatively, I wouldn't be surprised if the label forced it upon them, if they DO use a track.

Whilst LIVE are by default my favourite band, Shinedown are soooooooo close that there's no daylight between the two. And ALSO ALSO, I don't think Ed could pull off a Shinedown song as good as Brent could pull off a LIVE song, though I'd LOVE to have either of them try because they'd both still be GREAT.

Hm, I don't really want to pick favourites. Live, Shinedown, Ed, Brent, it's all gravy.
