hi folks, i'm a long time Live fan but a new subscriber to the board. i'm interested in knowing which album songs the band have never played live. the list compiled below is to the best of my knowledge, but i'm sure even closer followers of the band can advise whether it is anywhere near accurate. apologies if this has been covered in another thread.

mental jewelry - none
throwing copper - none
secret samadhi - none
the distance to here - feel the quiet river rage (although this was played as part of I Alone at some shows?), we walk in the dream
V - people like you, transmit your love, forever may not be long enough, flow, the ride, ok?, hero of love
birds of pray - she, every time i see your face, river town, out to dry, bring the people together
songs from black mountain - get ready, home, all i need, you are not along, night of nights.

Your list is almost right thumbsup.gif
additions that I can give: I thought they played People Like You in 2001?
and: Ed played Get Ready on his solo tour promoting SFBM early 2006 a few times. But after screwing it up, I've never saw it again on the setlist uhoh.gif

Great idea for a thread...

'People Like You' was played at the 2001-10-12, Ahoy, Rotterdam show.
'Get Ready' was performed by Ed at the 2006-03-23, Sydney, Australia Max Session.

Beautiful Invisible and Radiant Sea have never been performed live

Edit: I was too slow! SecretInsomnia beat me to it smile.gif

Great idea for a thread! thumbsup.gif

I would love to hear People like you, Transmit your love, or The Ride live... That list contains most of my favourite V songs... well... not OK or Flow uhoh.gif

Songs I am surprised they played:

Sun
Where do We go from here?
Sanctity of dreams (!)
What are we fighting for

Where do we go from here? was only played 1 or 2 times. But it has a 'decent' recording if I remember correctly, on which you could also see the video for God Don't Ever Change.
I have a mp3 of Sanctity as well as What are we fighting for, if you're interested. It's isn't top quality, but better than nothing thumbsup.gif

I thought I had seen Transmit Your Love played once in the encore for a setlist I saw for V era way back when, but I don't know if that was true.

Awright I need an explanation why on Earth do MOST of the people I know hate OK? It has one of the best rhythm sections on V.

a million thanks for the replies guys, good to know i wasn't too far off the mark with that list. it's interesting that the V album is still so divisive. i must admit i'm not a huge fan of it, although i do like Simple Creed, Like A Soldier, People Like You, Flow, and Overcome. I'm in the 'not OK' camp i'm afraid, rhythmically it's fairly interesting but the lyrics and vocal performance are trite. There aren't too many other Live songs I thoroughly dislike though, save for 'mystery', and 'the river' from the new record which are too lyrically predictable for my taste.

Does anyone have a good live recording of What Are We Fighting For? Please?

There's a pretty good Where Do We Go From Here? from 2007.08.04 Indianapolis.

Nick told me they only did What Are We Fighting For? in March 2003.

On liverockspace, there are three shows with it.

2003.03.26 Hempstead, NY (good)
2003.03.27 Lincroft, NJ (bit muffled)
2003.03.28 Philly, PA (best)
