My friend told me that Live recorded a full band version of Overcome as a demo for The Distance to Here album, and that it just didnt make an album untill V but a different version of. Could anyone give me any info on this? Is it's true, did it ever surface, is it obtainable, etc.?

it DOES exist, and yeah recorded for TDTH, but the song didn't came any further than the demo I guess.

Yeah, and I don't care. I don't want people to kiss my ass. I'm not sharing it because I promised the seller I would not share it and I intend to keep that promise. But, it doesn't exist.

Great point. The "seller" has indeed not come through with his promise, but that is not the only reason I am keeping mine.

Since those tracks are still hard to come by, they are great trade bait, and the people who have them have the best connections in order to make a trade for more rare stuff. Out of all the people with them, I'm sure I'm trying the hardest to obtain more. Hopefully one day it will pay off!

I have it, along with all the other rare stuff Existentialist has.

I also had to make the promise of not sharing them, but then again, I have been feeling a bit betrayed by the whole deal since I bought them. First off, the seller didn't mention that he was selling them to anyone willing to fork out the steep(!) price for them; I honestly thought that I was going to be the exclusive purchaser. I'm sure he ended up making out pretty well in the end, however many he sold.

Secondly, this promise of leaking more "rare" tracks indeed has not panned out. I'm beginning to think that it was just a rouse so that the seller could sell more of the CDs (once the tracks got out to the public, of course, no one would bother forking out the cash for them), and/or so that the seller could avoid getting in trouble for selling the tracks (word has it Live and/or their management was pretty pissed off when they found out about the selling of the tracks).

Don't get me wrong, the seller is a great dude who has done more for the Live community than anyone else on here....but if I'm right about either of the above, then I think I'm justified in my feelings.

Anyhow, I'm on the fence about whether or not to "leak" some of the tracks (including the aforementioned Overcome full-band version) on here. I don't come around this site very often anymore, but if I get the motivation, I might do so in the next few weeks, unless somebody (ie the seller or someone else) gives me a good reason why I shouldn't.

Where did you guys get all this REALLY RARE stuff? I wish I had it. Especially this track, I reckon it would be awesome.
