Runaway, I almost always skip that song, and I know I will get some heat for this but Waitress maybe for some personal reasons too. I used to be a waitress and I believe if you act like a bitch to the people who essentially pay you(you know the restaurants pays sh*t for wages), you don't deserve some f*** change.

This thread is in no way meant to be a slam of the band, but rather an serious and objective analysis of their body of work.

Often we see polls and questions regarding what is better or what is your favorite. I'd like to look at the other end of the spectrum and pose the question to Live fans - "What is the worst song Live has ever released?" This can be anything on an officially released album from Mental Jewelry to Radiant Sea.

I don't really have time to read this entire thread so I don't know if you've already posted this, but I'd be really curious to know what your opinion on this is since you always talk so positively about them.

As for me - I don't like "OK?". It's totally un-Live-like. I'm not sure if it's the "worst song", but I don't like it.

Here's what I said:

When I came up with this topic I specifically had "Forever May Not Be Long Enough" in mind. To me that song, or any version of it, is unlistenable.

It's a close call with Flow, which is a shame since the song starts of rocking and then Ed goes into that high pitch "FLOW, FLOW, FLOW" crap. I'd actually be embarrased to showcase that song to someone who doesn't know Live if I'm trying to convert them.

By the way, I'm not always positive about this band - but I do like them.

I agree about that one part of Flow ruining the entire song. The thing that upsets me is that I think the rest of the song has a great melody and can get really into it.

My 2 answers to this question though would have to be Run Away and Ok? Run Away is just a bland experience, with the only redemption being the guitar solo. I can't believe that the version with Shelby Lynn exists...and that they took out the guitar solo. When they play that version live, it is really disappointing.

And Ok? is the empitome of what I really don't like on V. This album always had incredible potential to me, especiallly with the opening and end of Simple Creed, drums that bring the band into Deep Enough, all of Hero of Love, Chad's solo in Transmit Your Love, and the lyrics in People Like You "in a dream I had, I was on a stage with..." But then there are the portions of the album like name dropping Live in People Like You and Transmit Your Love, the rap in Like a Soldier, the FLOOOOOW of Flow...and all of this culminates with the existence of Ok? The "take away my tv..." portion of the song is just something that I can't get over. And this is a shame...because Pat's bass is pretty badass in the beginning.

My two worst Live songs are probably Bring the People Together and People Like You. A few weeks ago I would probably also include Unsheathed, but currently I'm starting to like that song.

Unsheathed is awesome. My sig is from that song. The clashes of soft vs loud in the beginning are intense and the raw anger is something I'd like to see released on stage.

BTW, does anyone have concert footage of Unsheathed?

Well, currently I'm starting to like the song, so I really don't hate the song anymore. Especially that line (which is your sig) is really cool. It will never be my favourite Live song, but it's pretty cool yeah.

Same thing happened with White Discussion btw. A few months ago I didn't like the song, but then I just fell in love with the song out of nowhere and now it's one of my favourites. It's funny how those things go. But anyway, "Bring the People Together" and "People Like You" are two of the songs I really don't think I'll ever réally like.

There are some songs that I hate but grow to like. Lighthouse is one... People like you... Evolution Revolution... All these songs I hated at first but now I like them... not LOVE... like thumbsup.gif

I like Deep Enough, I know it's not their most meaningful song ever, but the tune is kickin' and the lyrics are sexy enough for this to be enjoyable. For me, it's decent enough. smile.gif

The first time I heard the song I had to wiki "swatch Watch" to figure out what it was. A similar event happened with "Jethro white, the sinner's saint"
