Wow, that's pretty cool that they played WDWGFH even though the show sucked. That's the first time they've played that in concert. I'm pretty surprised, also, that your first review was deleted. I read it last night and even though it bashed Live, it seemed fair to me. I've never seen Live on an off night, but I would call them out for it if I did.

It was deleted because of the repeated F-word and the use of virgin body parts. The second review was fine. Saying Live had an off night is totally cool, but just bashing them with vulgarity is not. Pet peeve of mine, and no I don't erase every curse, but I erase the ones I see that knock something else. Off-topic I usually leave alone.

As for your second review, it was excellent. It was fair and intelligent and great to read. I would love to hear "Where do we go from Here" in concert. I'm excited for later this month or August smile.gif

Do you have a setlist?

Did I bash LIVE though? I really didn't think i did. Something was obviously going on up there. I'm not going to speculate at all what it was.

But this show lacked energy completely. It seemed as though they were playing because they had to, then left. The music still sounded great as it always has every time I've seen them. Lightning Crashes was way better than I ever remember hearing it. But there was no passion nor energy. If i were a casual concert fan, there would be no way on earth I'd be thinking that I'd go see them again.

They played Dam at Otter Creek and that wasn't the headline of your post!!!! That's major news, how could you omit that. I'm guessing they also played Heaven, Wings, and The River?

The River was in my post and no, they didn't play wings, Heaven or I walk the line.....or my favorite concert song of all time, White Discussion.

They didn't play Heaven? I find that odd. Maybe it wasn't a hit in Toronto?

WOW! Where Do We Go From Here and Dam @ Otter Creek! Wish I could have been there!! The only reason I think that the guys weren't into it and seemed bored was because the crowd wasn't into it.

I heard the crowd was into the hits. They probably weren't into the songs they didn't know. If its a split crowd that can happen. Does Live have a huge following in Toronto?

I just heard that does Live has a big following in Toronto. I wish I was at the show. Well the Live half anyway.

Lori, if you give Live a great crowd, you are almost guaranteed White, Discussion. I'm only a plane ride away from Florida. wink.gif

That's a lame excuse if I ever heard one. sarcasm.gif

The crowd was completely still and silent for CS for the first half of their set. Yet by the end Ed Roland had everybody going absolutely nuts. The applause wasn't even applause, it was a roar.

That's what a good frontman does, takes a still crowd and makes them kick it up and rock out to the band. He took the crowd from zero to a nine and a half on the richter scale. He had the crowd singing halg of RUN, and they were singing so loud, it was amazing. I was in awe that this guy took a crowd from not even moving, to fist pumping and singing an entire song for him.

The cheers that CS got at the end were a thousand times louder than what LIVE got at the end of their show. When Ed Roland mentioned LIVE and said thanks to them, the crowd roared louder for them than they did at the end of Lightning Crashes. A hundred times louder. And at the time Mr Roland mentioned LIVE, it was fairly early and he hadn't gotten the crowd going yet. Most of the crowd was there for LIVE, they have a fairly large following here. Yet none of us responded to LIVE the way we did for CS, and sadly enough, that includes me.

By the end of CS, I wanted more. But when LIVE were done? I was actually kinda glad. I mean no disrespect at all when I say this, but I was kinda embarassed for them. Ed never even attemted an interaction with the crowd and that's just not ED. Last time he was here, he had the crowd going fucking bananas. He jumped out into the aisle and sang and danced. He was up on Gracey's drum wall, going nuts with Taylor and even invited all the girls to come up and sing along to sophia and dance with him. He had the crowd singing along loudly 5 or six times, he talked to us a whole buch....etc

Thursday? NOTHING.....and the crowds reaction said it all.
