i was talking to my friends earlier about music and it was brought up that a while ago when it might've been around the Throwing Copper-era that before a concert in America that Ed said that he wants all Jews to leave the concert! Now when i heard this a while ago i really really REALLY didn't believe it cause i listen to their music SO much and i've watched their interviews and they dont sound at all being anti-semitic...

Has anyone heard about this rumour or heard something similar and let me know about it cause i've been very curious for a while...

I honestly don't believe the rumor that Ed asked Jews to leave the concert. Why? Because Ed doesn't appear to have a hateful bone in his body.

Nah, I just mean that people as nice as Ed (or, he seems that way, at least) tend to remind me of my short-comings.

But, no, I certainly don't hate Jewish people. Or any people based on race, gender, or orientation.

Hmmm... now this quote from that article, "The way the lyrics go, the song is really about leaders in general and people's affection for them -- The song's about liberating yourself from leaders and that kind of influence." makes me wonder. If Ed believes we should liberate ourselves from leaders, then why does he have, or why did he have a guru?

Anyway, I'm going to assume that he meant that you should liberate yourself from *bad* leaders (hence the "Hilter in a robe of truth" line), but then again, in the article he says "leaders in general" in talking about the song. So, i'm still left confused about what he means.
