First off Heather, thanks for the info and I will keep my eye out on the other festival.

Malon have you ever ridden Darkastle? How does it compare to Spiderman.

ive never ridden spiderman. darkastle is pretty cool, literally. they redid it some this year so the 3d graphics are better. basically you ride this chariot through the story and you spin around between screens etc. it doesnt leave the floor. it is pretty cool, not to violent but its damn chilly in the building intentionally so i wouldnt go ride it after the roman rapids or pompeii. its where the wild mouse use to be in germany.
but darkastle is old news now that theyre building the griffin. i can see it getting a little taller every day coming into work. im gonna try and get some decent digital photos of it soon and post em in my myspace sooner or later.

Yes, traffic really will be that bad. I swear that area of Virginia is some of the worst traffic that I have ever expierenced. You should be ok if you leave at an hour that is nowhere near rush hour or even do the drive overnight and get a room and just head for the show that evening. I think the fairgrounds don't open until 5 pm or something like that on Friday so make sure you check on that before you leave for the show. The fairgrounds are easy to find so I don't think getting lost will be an issue plus they have shuttles that take you right there so there are no parking worries.

I won't be at this show since I am due to be popping out a baby the very next day so somehow I don't think I will be able to make this one. lol.gif Maybe you could talk Laura into it. Just do this ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ she can't resist those.

So I was checking out the website for the festival and they already have someone listed for the 8pm show on Friday. I wonder whats up with that. Live's not even listed..

Good thing its a June concert.. lots of time to figure out what the hell is going on!!!

If you take a look at the page it says "Celebrate Fairfax! will be announcing our 2007
Bud Light Main Stage Headliners on February 1, 2007! Stay tuned for the exciting news!"

The band listed is Collective Soul June 9th at 8pm.......That was last yr.

The show was alright. I was with my sister who saw them on wednesday. Instead of opening with Mystery they opened with Rattlesnake.

THEY DID NOT PLAY LAKINIS JUICE@@!!!!

The mood was ok but none of the bands were alowed to drink beer since it was a "family show". Lightning actually rained down on us during Lightning crashes. I feel like they might have cut Lakinis Juice just to play LC. Jimmies Chicken Shack closed it out...Jimmie was a beast.

Yeah it kinda sucked having to hear a self-edited version of Voodoo Lady. Of course the crowd was able to make up for a few of the edited fucks.

The show was great, I was shocked at how many high-school aged/junior college types were at the show and knew all the new stuff and old. They have mastered Sophia on stage, that one shows why they deserve the name +Live+

I thought it was a great concert. I was pissed that they didn't sing Lakini's, but it's all good. That was awesome when it started to lightning during LC...

overall I thought it was a good show, especially from front row. here are some pics.
