He's using his new brass snare on TDC like he did on LJ last month, but the other songs look like they were also recorded on the same day with his other snare. I wonder how many more songs we'll get from this batch before a new set is recorded.

I'm also noticing that I can't hear the cymbals very well. I wonder if he's using overheads at all, or they're just getting picked up in the bleed from the tom mics, or the mix just isn't that great, since I see tall stands that would be for overheads.

He also says that more are coming. Curious if he's going to play any of the deep cut songs that Live is currently touring with or if he's going to keep pulling random ones to play. Either way, it's cool.

After reading that Chris Shinn article where he says Ed fired the whole band, not just Chad Taylor, you have to wonder if Chad Gracey is practicing these songs for nothing. It doesn't seem like Gracey is under the impression that his time drumming for Live is over. This is all so weird. Hopefully one of them will respond with some clarity soon.

I wonder if it's all CG's attempt to show Ed he still has the ability to play. He had an injury recently didn't he?

Agreed, this is all so confusing. What is this? Or is it just what it is, Chad playing the drums, and nothing more?

I too wonder about that. Why now? It would have made more sense for him to create this channel in 2020 when everyone was stuck inside and he could practice his chops and keep us entertained, but doing it now just feels weird given everything that's going on.

He also doesn't typically practice when he's not actively playing with Live, so who's it for? If it's for the fans, it's years too late, except for the diehards like me and his 335 other subscribers. If it's to prove himself to Ed, I don't think that's going to accomplish what he thinks it might, but who the heck knows what's going on with this band anymore anyway. It just gives me a headache when I think about it, so I'm just trying to enjoy the content and move on.

It's a pretty non-descript pattern until around 0:57. Then all I hear is "I'll lift you up, we can love or cry. Hey, I'm in love I'll take you up again!"

I'm glad they finally that song out on the TC anniversary release. I appreciated the bootleg versions we had before that, but it was like listening to the song under water.
