Just got back from the show, and what a show it was! Live TOTALLY stole the show. Nickelback had their moments, but the night was Live's. Anyway, I go a few video/audio clips from the show so I'll get those up as soon as possible, I hope they turned out okay.

More of a review later.

Setlist was the same as usual.

So in what is probably one of the worst LIVE "bootlegs" (if you can call it that...) ever, I was able to capture several clips from the show last night in Montreal.

Unfortunatly, you really can't see much other than the guard rail because the security guards were RIGHT infront of us, and were taking everyone's camera's away if they saw them. So I had to keep the camera below the rail the whole time. Anyway, soundwise its not horrible, but nothing spectacular. a little fuzzy, but better than nothing.

I was able to get clips from Selling the Drama, The River, Mystery, Sofia, and The Dolphin's Cry. The files are pretty big, like 180,000KB each, so if anyone can tell me the best way to share 'em, let me know.

I have a new gameplan for tonight's show, so hopefully they'll turn out better

They range from 129MB to 260MB

Another great show last night in Ottawa, I made some good friends down on the floor. The guy infront of me had a sign which read "Please play Voodoo lady, Overcome." I tried to convince him that they haven't played that song for years now, and probably never will again...but he was determined! He had a really cool drawing of Nickelback on a big white flag that he drew himself - it was pretty impressive! Anyway, it was fun to dream of Voodoo Lady being played, but it was never going to happen. Chad/Adam/Ed all saw the sign, Chad and Adam made a little joke about it, and smiled.

In the end, we got the same setlist as the rest of the tour, but the new songs sounded incredible. I would say they sounded even better than they did the night before in Montreal. They just seemed heavier, more pumped up, more energy. I wasn't sure what to think of this new material we've been hearing from SFBM, but I've totally changed my minds on these new songs, they totally kick ass, even more ass live. They've really become "Live" songs for me now that I've seen them performed live. Show and Mystery were my favorites, I can't wait to hear what the strings add to Mystery.

It may sound a little cheesy, but Ed/Chad/Adam all saw me singing along to the new songs, (and was probably one of the only ones...) it was pretty cool to see the reactions on their faces. And I even think Ed recognized me from the night before and sang that part "Oh ya we meet again, its like we never left" right at me during TDC.

I got a very positive vibe from the audience about Live. Everyone I was standing around was really blown away. Some had come especially for Live, some had never really heard more than Lightning Crashes. But MANY said they were going to buy the new album, which Ed confirmed was coming out May 9th. You know that feeling you get during an opening band, like "get the fuck off stage, we didn't come to see you..." well there really was none of that (except during Danko Jones, who as far as I'm concerned, can STAY up on that mountain...). The audience was really loving Live's set, singing, standing, dancing, it was great to see. I think even Live were surprised at some points.

I was hoping Live and Nickelback would do a song during the encore together, being that it was the last show of the tour together, but no luck. Nickelback did put on two great shows though, which I enjoyed with the tiny bit of energy I had left after Live's set. It was a short set though, and a bit too much of a "we're cool cause we're playing old shit" type of show, but still a strong performance.

Oh ya, and Ed said that they will be coming back to Canada THIS YEAR (at both shows!!)

Oh my, those are some huge files. Anyway you can encode them so that they are a smaller size?

And how would one go about doing that? I know little about this stuff. It would be cool too if you could just get the audio from the video clips, because you really can't see much anyway. Is there a way to do that?

Yeah, the only problem is getting those huge-sized files to me. Maybe it would be best to send 'em to me via snail mail or one of the free online hosting sites like yousendit.

Hey!! Did you have a shaved mohawk type hairstyle? I saw a guy closer to the front, on the floor with a Birds of Pray shirt on and it made me happy to see another LIVE fan in a sea of Nickelback fans. If it was you, I was standing to your left. smile.gif It sucks that I flew all the way from Philly and didn't get to meet you. I love meeting Live fans!

The concert was amazing! SOOOO much energy from the guys! I loved the new songs so much...especially Mystery. Being in a big venue and seeing so many lighters during Lightning Crashes reminded me of my first LIVE show in 1994. Ahhh..the memories. lol.gif We left after LIVE so we didn't catch Nickelback. I wasn't that big a fan of Danko Jones. His guitar playing was good, but his lyrics freaked me out a bit. omg.gif For being my first time in Canada...it rocked!!

I must thank Beth, Nat and Dan again for sharing another amazing show with me!! hi.gif

Hey Tina,

Nope, that wasn't me with the mohawk. But I was standing RIGHT infront of Adam, 2nd row on the floor. Where were you? I didn't see anyone around with a BOP shirt,

Awww....nope I wasn't near Adam. I was in front of Pat (not in front of the stage)...kind of off to the side a bit past where the stage came out in the middle. Sorry I missed meeting you.
