I am kinda drinkies.

This is great.

Moments like this are why I still come to this messageboard sometimes.

I miss this band the way they were.

Does anyone else besides me prefer the live version of Susquehanna from Mental Jewelry over the studio version?

Does this mean they are going to stop putting all of their support behind Hold Me Up and put everything behind Susquehanna? Nick said Hold Me Up just hit #50 on the active rock chart recently. It was really taking off. facepalm.gif

My favorite B-Side with Mall Rat. Really do miss that heartfelt music too with a raw voice like that.

I just had old live (in concert) versions of Susquehanna and am not sure I ever heard the crappy studio versions that floated around. I finally listened to the official version... anyone notice the trail off at the end of the song sounds almost the same as the end of White, Discussion (around the 5:56 mark)? The pitch is just a little different but it really sounds similar...

...I know Susquehanna was supposed to be on Throwing Copper, it just made me wonder if it had gotten as far as being mixed to be before White, Discussion.

My guess is that it may have been considered an album closer before White Discussion was written, and also a reason why they were not both on the album. Kind of like how the breakdown in Still Aroused is the same as the ending of Sun.

I sorta thought the same thing. White, Discussion ends the album with a lot more energy than Susquehanna would have, though.

You don't enjoy hearing the soft Lightning Crashes or Dance With You echoing in your ears as you exit the venue?
