My last Live show was with Shinn at the Lancaster Blues festival. Check out that setlist. Definitely wasn't a perfect performance but it had balls.

2. By Design
3.Waterboy
4. Selling The Drama
5. Operation Spirit
6. You Are the World
7. 6310 Rogerton Dr.

10. Iris
11. The Way Around is Through
12. Lightning Crashes
13. Lakini's Juice
14. All Over You
15. I Alone

I am so sad that I didn't get to see Shinn perform with them. Even more sad that we'll never get to hear these Turn songs performed ever again. Sure Shinn was a little rough on some stuff, but mostly the old Live stuff. He sounded great performing the new songs from The Turn though. I think he got into that better as it was created by all of them. If CCP could have stuck it out, I bet they would have gotten real tight as a band.

I know why they are doing this. I think at this point everybody on this board knows that the whole "reunion" is just a money grab. Pure and simple. These guys are pussies. Instead of making new music that they can actually feel good about in their hearts, they'd rather regurgitate the "hits"

CCP took a chance with Shinn, and it was going in a great direction. But instead of putting in the work, they ran at the first sign that, "hey, were not as popular as we thought we were, better get back with eddie boy and cash in while we can."

RIP Live.... b.1990 - d.1999

Sadly this is the same for me. Wonder how many fans that were there from the beginning still enjoy this version of Live?

I’ve been a fan since the beginning. Well, I didn’t know them when they were Public Affection, but I became a fan with the Operation Spirit video on MTV. I still enjoy them, greatly. You don’t know what joy the reunion with Ed brought me. It was the right, smart thing to do. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Even though some of their post reunion decisions baffle me or upset me for a time, I still look forward to going to their shows, new music (I liked 3 off the 717), and I hope they keep going for many, many more years to come.

If you like this, then cool. I'm done though. I really really dislike Ed's solo music and his influence on the band.

Believe me, I don’t like solo Ed either. Waterfall off 717 actually scares me because it sounds like it’s straight out of his catalog. They actually have more of my attention now than with V, BoP and Songs from Piece of Crap Mountain. I actually feel sorry for all of you who are done. I honestly might need a therapist without something by them giving me hope. There’s always something that keeps me just hanging on enough. I don’t know what would be the last straw for me. I guess if they put out an album that’s like Ed’s solo stuff, although the aforementioned albums were pretty close lol.gif

Ah Voodoo Lady... I appreciate your optimism. I really do. But you know deep down that this is what your going to get from Live from here forward. So the many more years to come part will just be the same setlist over and over and over, and maybe they add some weird obscure cover in there.

I have 0% hope for any new music. And honestly I'm glad. I don't want to be disappointed anymore.

Live's next stop is going to be the Indian Casino circuit.

There is good news for all of us though! The hologram technology is coming along pretty good, so pretty soon we can actually see a real Live show again!! Now that I would support!

Yea, I wish I could be excited about new music and concerts but I know there is only disappointment at the end of this road.

Pretty telling that after their big reunion they release 717 with writing credits to Ed and Zak. So much for a collaborative effort.

Maybe they patched things up with Ed, but they bashed his writing and music since SFBM so I'm pretty sure they don't even enjoy 717. IMO Ed has not written a good song in almost 20 years.

However, I will buy the TC25 LP and eventual reissues of SS and TDTH. If they're still around to release them???

No maybe's about it.

They patched things up between the four of them.

The four members of Live enjoy Local 717.

Been wondering what they would do for SS since Churchbox has already been shared out.

Reminder: Concert review threads are to discuss the concert listed in the topic and not for general discussion.

There are existing threads about the repetitive nature of their setlists, the quality of Live's material, comparisons between an Ed Kowalczyk and Chris Shinn led live.

If there isn't a thread, then create one.

They also said they liked SFBM when it was released. Years later we know that was not true. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Sorry Dan. Back on topic...
