Neither am I. Because of that doubt, I forked over money today for my tix. Had a snafu logging in and so 10 minutes after the presale started, I got 7th row. I’m going to trust what Ed said on Insta, that they will be able to play 16 songs in the 70 minutes. I think when I hear a new song in its entirety is when reality will hit and I’ll get super excited for the show.

I'm 9th row, closest I've been except for Ed's solo acoustic show. I'm super excited for the show NOW. rockin.gif

Don't have tickets yet but I'll be there. Planning to pick them up at the box office when I go to see Dave Matthews Band.

Nice. I remember there's a couple others on here as well. Maybe we can get the few of us from MI together for pre- or post- show drinks or something. I'm really looking forward to seeing Live with Ed in person again. bounce.gif

This is good news for live recordings collectors as Counting Crows shows are still widely covered by tapers.

Just look at their last tour (2015) : http://db.etree.org/db/shows/browse/artist_key/174/year/2015

Sorry if this was posted elsewhere, but it looks like a date was added August 23 at the new Hard Rock in Atlantic City (the former Trump Taj).

What the hell is up with this Grand Rapids headlining show?! I thought they weren't headlining this year?! So now that I've spent 300 bucks on two different CC shows, now they're going to announce headlining shows?! Really? facepalm.gif

Looks like they are playing Grand Rapids a day after their show in Detroit at Meijer Gardens as part of Meijers's summer concert program. When did this get announced? I'm a bit disappointed that I will miss this but with tickets at $65 and considering it's 2 hours away on a Monday night (given its labor day) this would have been a stretch. Though it looks like they might be trying to filll in some dates between the CC dates.

Announced today by Live. Who knows how long tix have been on sale. I'm trying to be a patient, loyal fan but didn't people JUST ask about more shows and they said 2019? I'm getting real annoyed.

Damn - thats an hour and a half away. The original MI is an hour drive. Wish I would have known this before buying tickets for the 2nd with CC, although the price was way better.

Songkick says tix to the GR show have been on sale for 24 days already. WTF😡

I saw the 24 day thing as well and did a double take. That has to be when they started selling for the summer concert series in general and Live was just added. That would be a big marketing miss even by Live standards to not mention a concert for a full month.

I will be interested to hear the length and setlist of this and any headlining show they might add. If the setlist is the same as the CC shows I will feel much less slighted by the delay in announcing this show.

I'm pissed but I got 4 tix for $80 on the 2nd. 4 tix to this show would be $260 plus fees, plus it's on a work night, plus it's further away. Not sure the headlining show would have been worth the extra hassle and a $200 difference. On top of it I'll be at Ford Field for the Lions MNF game the following Monday so I'll just have to settle for the opening act gig. Two late Monday's in a row would be really tough at work.

Still, I'd feel better if the 2nd is beautiful and it rains on the 3rd.
