I have read enough to know that this is an absolute shit show. At this point I'm hoping the announcement on Monday is that the band is retiring and hanging it up for good.

Now we're ripping Shinn and praising Ed?

I'm glad to have gotten The Turn as my farewell Live album.

AGREE 100% I'm done.

But I enjoy reading posts from the arse lickers.

that there are supposedly only 3 or 4 'fans' feeling like this about LIVE right now?

WD and Pokey are right on the money. It's all about money. They are an embarrassment. Ed, CT, self professed LIVE expert/financial backer whatever he is The Thrill (who does he thrill apart from himself?) and Gracey and Pat because they don't have their own mouths, just go along with this humilitating, painfully cringeworthy shit. After all the shit that was played out in the public eye, and then this rot they've come up with....really, who apart from a few 1000 old LIVE fans give a shit about them? They're acting like it's ELVIS rising from the dead. Not the been there-has beens-done that that they really are now.

A new low in the history of the band LIVE. I hope for their sakes that they'll be remembered for their heyday and not their selling the drama.

It's a shame that you say your done because of an issue a band had between each other, which has since been resolved. I really don't buy it though, i think you will be checking out all the new stuff LIVE does in the near future.

No, it was Bill (the thrill) who made the comment about Chris in this thread, not anyone else.

The problem is maybe there. How do we know it is actually solved? If they're in it for the money, no need to be friends anyway. I'll check for new stuff, but not for hit list concerts. I heard All over you enough times.

An issue that CT and Thrillboy and their lackies dragged into the public and fan base. Sure I'll listen to any new music...maybe even 3 times. But I'm 99.9% sure that they are has beens and will never come up with anything like they have back in the heyday. The stuff they did with Chris I enjoyed but I'm guessing that was from Chris' input. Ed has had his day. No new tricks up that old dog's sleeve.

Aside from the drama I would say I'm done with Live because with Ed as the lead singer they have sucked since the late 90's. I have watched Live put on the same tired act show after show. With Shinn they found a new energy and actually changed up the setlist from time to time.

In hindsight, I wish they would've made music with Shinn under a different name.

Live/Thrill can spin this reunion anyway they want, but they're the ones that split the core fan base and that makes this 180 complete horse shit. If Live can truly bury the hatchet and make some coin touring on the 90's festival circuit then good for them.

I'll save the guys some time for their spin session:

Ed is not a dick head...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Chad, Chad, Patrick & Jerry Harrison wrote the majority of the turn.

Why is that bad news? I thought it was pretty well known that Shinn's contribution was mainly on 6310. Maybe I just dreamed that up.

Anyway... Why all the arguing here (again)?? Bill is a business man. CCP are business men. I am too. I want to make money. Doesn't mean that I have to, or need to. And it sure isn't anyone's business outside of my wife and I. Seems that these guys should be in the same boat; Ed included.

Who the hell are "we" to judge these guys on their motivations. I like their music. I don't care why they want to get together and play it. Bring it!!! I'm excited!!

Are we about to try and retcon more history now? This fucking hand waving away the past and changing it to suit the story going forward is pretty sad. But wait, I have NO IDEA, despite knowing other sources very close to the band. You alone are the keeper of the truth....which is why you were consistently wrong for 6 years straight hahaha.

Remember all the times you called Ed shit. Things that have nothing to do with him being a thief or not, you were ripping on his musical and creative output as much as anyone, even the guys in Live. Surely whether he is or isn't a thieving prick wouldn't have changed your views on how bad he was/is. So I guess that's another thing we are going to try and retcon, it was all a mistake, you actually liked all of Ed's stuff all along! How does a song like parasite sit now? Is that one of the bands favourite Ed songs because not only was it accusing CCP of being parasites, it turned out to be true in the end! But let me guess, now the song actually will suddenly not be about CCP. You're a joke dude, just quit trying to spin this crap.

I'm guessing because their business is engaging intimately with the public through music and the like. It's silly saying the public shouldn't have any vested interest. Should businesses not listen to their customers?

I think it is just total audacity for them to try and rewrite the past to better suit their future business needs and expect no one to question it, after they flaunted it so publicly before. I'm glad people aren't just meekly rolling over and accepting any old bullshit. Yes they're businessmen first and foremost but that doesn't give them immunity from people commenting on that side of things. "We" judge their motivators because we can. We are the consumer, so to speak. At the end of the day they want "our" money, so damn right we should question and judge the source of where money is going to. That's if you want to look at it through business eyes.

Like I said in the other thread. The "spirit" of Live doesn't exist anymore. Here is a fun old quote...

"Live received little praise for an excellent disc with The Distance to Here, its last album. When asked about the lack of attention, lead singer Ed Kowalczyk stated the band members were artists first, businessmen second. I found that statement particularly refreshing after the band refused to go mainstream after its fourth strong rock album."

Flash forward a few years to Ed trying to sell stick figure drawings and selling personalised phone calls to his "society of friends" haha
