Ed's Throwing Copper tour was very successful this year. He proposed a full band worldwide tour with the rest and they turned him down.

He did!? Just curious, where did you find this out from?

I believe Gracey mentioned it on FB. They turned him down because they felt it was only about the money.

It is time for all to forgive and move on. Live's window closes more everyday. Get together, play some shows, reunite the band and the fractured fanbase, and have some fun.

This won't happen unless Ed rocks, which won't happen.

I know that deep down inside that punk ass, crazy-eyed rocker still exists. What I hope for (if they make new music) is that he can have the two different musical styles.--The one he has with LIVE and then the style he has solo (other artists are able to do this). But he doesn't have to make new music with LIVE for me to be happy. Like I said, just give me some concerts and a rereleased TC with a good copy of Hold Me Up. Heck, I will even just take the concerts.

Outside of a handful of songs, I never considered Live a hard rock band. They always had a good balance to them. I'm sure Ed and CCP can put a nice balanced album together. Will it be Throwing Copper, probably not, but what is?

But the other contingent of Live fans do consider Live to be a rock band, and therefore the fanbase won't be mended because Ed's voice cannot rock anymore.

The condition of his voice is what you meant! Vocal chords age and get wear & tear. Sure, Ed doesn't sound like he did in 1997 but c'mon, he doesn't sound that bad now!

People age. CCP aren't the 1997 version either.

Those who genuinely think CCP want anything to do with Ed are suffering from severe paramnesia.

Oh I sure hope they perform a reunion - hearing some of the churchbox recordings they had such an amazing thing going!!! Only problem is I don't think Ed could sound as good as that anymore.....he either sings quiet or scream now whereas he used to be able to sing full voice really great back then. I'd still prefer a reunion over live 2.0 though!

Can someone please dig up this Gracey post? Would love to read it!
