There is no point in trying to reason in with him so why bother?

Fact is it'll take some time for Live to gain some traction after the disaster that was SFBM that left original Live fans with a very sour taste in their mouth. As much as I hope this albums takes off, there very well could be a quiet reception of it considering the way Ed sank the band.

The good news the real Live fans are satisfied with this album and will continue enjoying it for many years to come and they will certainly keep writing and releasing good music in the future. Too bad some fools and haters can't get over the fact their idol is no longer running the show.

Live toured with Ed successfully until 2009. SFBM came out in 2006.

CCP are sinking Live all on their own.

I don't think you can get through your thick skull that most fans don't care if and where they tour as long as there's good new music I can listen to anywhere and anytime.

On top of that, the Ed-run shows that I went to late in their run circa 2009 were nearly unwatchable. I would have walked out on Ed gyrating around shirtless if I hadn't paid hard-earned money to get to them.

Live was sunk very nicely by Ed in the mid/late 2000's. It's time for them to rebuild the brand from the ground up thanks for the shenanigans committed by your beloved Ed.

Define "toured successfully"?

I'm sure Taylor Swift tours successfully, especially if you consider Live in 2009 successful. So should Live try to make music that sounds like hers?

You're making statements from what you believe the motive may be, which is understandable considering Ed's motive appears to about the buck. Perhaps, just perhaps the guys handled their riches over the years better and have chosen to diversify into other ventures so that their band could be about music that they want to make, which is probably the only music that they can make, without it being so intrinsically tethered to the bottom line.

Ed wrote V, most BoP and SFBM. Overall, this is music for the bin. He destroyed Live!! From the "beauty of gray" to "lalala dadadada", what a shameful shift.

What I still don't get is why some people obsess over the bottom line of something they don't have any ownership in.

Who the hell gives a damn how much money Ed or Live makes or doesn't make? Someone explain this to me why this matters as long as music is being put out that the fans enjoy.

Nick, care to educate me on this matter?

By the way, my co-worker is listening to The Turn right now and is really enjoying it. He was too young when Live was big in the 90's and didn't really know who they were until he heard me listening to and talking about them. He's a huge fan of all rock genres and thinks this is a really good album.

Filled mid-sized venues on a consistent basis. Headlined tours with other 90's acts.

You mean ban feature? The problem is everyone knows Dan won't ban the Live troll. The only way to suppress him would be to ignore him and stop responding to his garbage posts.

No, some forums have an "ignore/block user" feature, which if enabled (by a member) hides all those user's responses from your view. Generally, I don't for advocate them, but when there is a trolling individual spoiling the discussion for everyone, and the communities consensus on their participation is rather unanimous, they can be useful.

oh, snap, I just found out that this forum does support that feature!!!!

If you want to remove SJN1279 from your forum experience, simply click on his profile, click on "profile options" and "ignore user" - he should magically disappear from the forum (for you).

That's a great idea. I'll go ahead and do this myself. Like everyone else, I am very tired of hearing from him.

It still shows that they posted so it's not a true block or ignore. Dan, can you help with this?
