Great lyrics don't necessarily make a great song.

I also said one of Live's best songs.....the eerie low music really sets the mood for the dark lyrics. Then they kick it at the end of the song and is probably one of the loudest moments on TC....the song is fuckin' amazing.

I'd probably say two:
Ok? and Bring the People Together
But I'm sure I will add a couple more to that list after a few more listens to SFBM.

Couldn't this topic have been called "What is your least favorite Live song?"... Just a thought

i still love okay, i think the arrangement is brilliant. and i think everybody but beau loves tbd. tbd is one fucking great song. beau, i highly recommend you give it a few serious listens, but if you do and still don't like it, hey, that's your opinion.

in the words of the great General George Patton, "If everybody's thinking alike, then no one is thinking!"

Easy...

T.B.D.

This is all meant in jest... you're freakin nuts. T.B.D.?!? The absolute "worst" song off of Throwing Copper is at least 3 x's better than any of the better songs off any other album they've put out. And T.B.D. is a far cry from the worst song off of TC. In fact, it's probably fighting for a spot in the top 5 to 7 off that whole album.

Seriously, I love the flow of that entire song. The bass just the creates the "atmosphere" of the song and carries it through until the end when they really punch it.

Honestly... I'm a sucker for loud bass. Patrick is great in T.B.D.

Otherwise I still fucking hate it.

Did.

It's just like Tool's music. Love the music. Otherwise I can't listen to it for long or else I'd be bored. It's just too long and slow for me, no offense. Not to mention it's pretentious as all hell.

you certainly don't offend me because your opinion differs. anyone offended because you or anyone else doesn't like a song is fuckin' nuts. at least you gave it a serious listen.

I would vote for the entire "V" album. Most of the songs on that album are unlistenable, particularly Simple Creed and Call Me a Fool.

Sure. But I guess when I was thinking of the phrase of "omit one song" I was thinking of a song that you would never really want to hear played by the band at a concert, or anywhere for that matter. In otherwords, more of a negative connotation than just "least favourite". Admittedly, there are some Live songs that I really don't care for, but wouldn't mind if the band played them in concert. "OK?" however, is truely one that I would never want to hear played.

Did I ever say that "You are not alone" sounds DOAD-ish to me?

I don't know if you did. I just did want someone to reply that they thought that "Born Branded" or "Cheetah", etc., was their choice because I don't really think that it is fair to say to compare an unreleased song with that of a released one. If you think that a Public Affection song is worse than "You are not alone", then feel free.

TBD??? omg.gif -- I love that song!

I haven't heard all the songs from the new album, but I doubt anything could be worse than OK?
