I don't care, I'm just stating that it would be nice to hear a new tune. Also, how come you think that the album will be amazing? It seems that nobody is leaving any space for an option that the new album can be mediocre, or even bad. Don't get me wrong, I hope that the new album will be good and I hope it's not gonna be anything similar to The Gracious Few, cause their album, to my concern, was just mediocre.

There is no problem with having different opinions.

There are only 3-4 people in the world music that are awesome to me by default. They have never EVER failed a single time in terms of what they were doing. Chad T is among those.

If you call TGF mediocre, you do not listen to it, right? If you consider the coming Live mediocre, you will not listen to it.

The rest is in my previous post. There is 1 word that you might have missed while reading.

Wow, Dan, why have you repped me down for my previous post?

Yes, I can state it once again: I can wait for a new Live album for 5 years.

Hold on: the last Live album was released back in 2006, making it 6 years already. Right? Doesn't that mean that you have also been waiting for their new albu, for more than 5 years? Shall I rep you down for that?

Wow.

I really do not have anything else to say.

I am not saying that new Live will be mediocre, I'm just saying that it is also a possibility. The thing is: Yes, CCP are great musicians (no doubt in it at all), but what they are missing is a good singer, I would go even further and say that they need a unique voice to make it all work. The Gracious Few was just too standard. Yes, music wise it was what you expect CCP to do, but Kevin Martin is just a good guy with a standard voice (it may be good, but not for CCP) - and that's just my opinion. Now they have found Chris Shinn - I've seen the videos, I've heard his solo stuff and his previous band stuff - nothing special. Unless he will pull a trick on the recording session - there will be nothing new. I've read an article once stating that Live is a mix of Nirvana and REM. To me it is a very cool mix. What mix had The Gracious Few - everyday american rock and roll meets an everyday american rock and roll. I just hope that it won't happen with the new Live record. This is all that I am saying.

To not like TGF is one thing, but to find the album mediocre is another. For me it is a very solid album even if I don't like all the tracks. For example a lot of people like The Few a lot. I don't else than the bridge. But some others bring some kind of magic with the touch of Sean Hennesy. Without Ed, Live can now be surrounded by more good people, so with this other reason a new Live album can't be mediocre. It may not exceed our expectations, but can't be mediocre, as the TGF album. In what this album was SO mediocre?

Im not in the camp that somehow just KNOWS the album will be great, I'm cautiously remaining hopeful but realistic. It does however look like they are working very hard and taking their time, which can only be good. For me, TGF proves that hard work and a genuine passion in the process produces something special, whatever your taste in rock music might be!

I agree. I was underwhelmed by the re-recorded tracks, but its Chris singing an Ed song. When Chris sings a Chris song with Live, then we will have a better picture of what we've got here.

Just heard Ed's new tune "O Holy Night". Will not comment on the tune, but when I was listening to the beginning of the tune I thought it would've been cool if the tune had a sudden change similar to that breaking part in Unsheathed. "free love, I can't afford to add up what you fuckers are made of"
