I get the feeling he thinks he is a better singer than what he really is. He just doesn't do this kind of stuff very well at all - not at all.

Yeah, he does think he's a better singer than he actually is, I reckon. In fairness, I've no idea how this song is supposed to be song, but it does sound like he's really trying to sing above himself with it. I think it would have been much better and less embarrassing if he'd underplayed the delivery a bit more. As it is he's trying to give this grand, masterful vocal performance and it's just not quite as good as he wants it to be.

I really like it. if anything, i think he was deliberately minimalistic in his delivery. Far better than the abomination that was Silent Night.

ugh. such wank. I think that about sums it up.
If it were something along the lines of "Santa Clause is coming to town", then yeah, whatever, its meant to be light hearted and whatever ... but the super serious delivery and ugh, whatever, this'll probably just get deleted anyways.
