Agreed. Ed is no longer of Live and he drove the band into the ground before he bailed out of it. He does not deserve a section on a Live fan site. However, it is okay. Soon enough no one will bother visiting the Ed section of this site as he has alienated just about every Live fan.

I haven't posted here in quite a while. I just don't feel like getting near any of this Ed stuff and the toxic soup this place has become. It also took me over a week to even make the effort to go to Ed's Facebook and listen to that song because frankly I am not a fan of Ed anymore and I really don't care what he does. I finally did, and if this message board is here for people to share their views and discuss Live and off-topic subjects, like Ed Kowalczyk, then I will share my opinion about this songs.

I HATE it. I am embarrassed for him, for me, for Live, for anything associated with what Ed is doing now. If I could un-listen to it, or at least wipe my memory and forget I ever heard it, I would do that. This is more Alive drivel. I am glad for the people who like it. I just don't understand how or why.

Completely agree with you Fish. It makes me completely embarrassed to say I was ever a fan of this guy.

That about says it all as far as being a fan of Ed. Despite all the personal stuff amongst the band, then you have us, the fans. He's an embarrassment. I'm also embarrassed that I was a fan. I cringe at the memory.

I will never understand how he changed so much that he moved on from the older LIVE stuff to what he comes out with today. It is not about success because he is far less successful now than what he ever was.

I'll never be embarrased to be a Ed fan or a fan of the other former members. I love them all and that is how it will stay.

These lyrics are pretty damn cheesy I must say. Ed has done so much better lyrics. These are horrible. Subtle messages anyone?

I just don't understand how he can play songs like this, and then Selling The Dram back to back and think they're on par. How does he not go "shit, I used to write really good songs..."
Then again he sings STD in such a way now that he tried to drag it down to Alive level, rather than trying to make the solo material as good as the old stuff.

The point is that I still respect the man for what he had done in the past. In regards to the new stuff, I think it is just really bad. There is no creativity in what Ed is doing now, it is basically a waste of time. The man has sold out and that's the end of the story!

The problem with this tune and all previous Ed tunes from Alive - everything is completely avarage and standard. If before Ed had his own style (or magic, whatever it was - it was unique) now there is just BIG NOTHING. The music is standard, the vocals are standard, the lyrics are awful. I can understand going from a rock band to a pop band, going from playing rock music to playing and recording pop tunes, but going away from a solid rock band to playing shitty popcorn tunes is just something I don't get.

That's just it. It's average boring stuff from someone who made music that was quality and above average. Regardless of the genre.
It's why I don't care for Ed anymore. Beyond the BS and drama, in the end it's about the music. And the music he makes today does absolutely nothing for me.
I will always check anything new he releases in hopes for something, but I don't hold my breath.
