I think that BOP disappointed me so much that I just can't like the artwork...Don't hate the logo this way though.

There could be a pile of shit on the cover as long as the music is great I couldn't care less. And I'm an art guy.

True fact. It's amazing how incredible music can make the art seem that much cooler. Although, I still think MJ's cover sucks balls.

I think the new Live album cover should be Chris Shinn's naked back under a waterfall. eyebrow.gif

TC is by far the most meaningful cover that Live has done, and it's damn unique too. Love it. While I prefer TDTH by a small margin, I wouldn't say that it's because it means anything. I just like the total design package more.

Hahahahaha

I decided that joke needed a bigger audience.

They could call the album "Songs From Shinn's Ding Dong"

TDTH all the way. MJ is cool in an amateur kind of way - fits where they were at that time.

As for TC, that kind of art is not my scene at all. Dare I say I agree with Nick on this one!

I thought Wam was back on the booze! Sorry but that PS'ing is so unpro that it's not funny!

But I like the marching to the beat of their own drum bit someone mentioned. Is that what you had in mind Wam?

i wish i was that cerebral! No, just wanted to liven up the place and chose a Howson painting, and always thought the word 'interiors' carried a lot of weight and that it applied to Live's MO smile.gif

need to practice my PS skills i think

I had a glass pipe glown with the artwork for TDTH as the inspiration. My husband sent it to an old school Deadhead glassblower. It was awesome. I wonder where that ended up? whistle.gif

MJ fit the moment. It was timely and, considering it's a debut album, it could certainly have been worse.
the TC cover is perfect for the album, but that art wasn't made just for the album, was it? I really prefer the idea of the art being made just for the album.
I really really love the SS face. (I also really love it now that we know the backstory)
TDTH is my favorite, though, because I remember buying the album, and before i heard anything (except for the songs I'd heard them sing at the Chameleon the year before (the only one of which I remembered was Vine St, of course)) I saw this cover that was so bright and busy and just diametrically opposed to the crisp clean cover of SS. And it fits the album perfectly.
V - eh. I write the whole thing off as an experiment, something done on a lark. I don't really just it like a real album, and as such I like the music and consider the cover just sort of a joke (not a good one, though)
BOP was disappointing, starting with the cover.
SBFM's cover was just so very un-live. I did like the color scheme, I'll say that. but there's just so much Ed. (and I think Ed's hot. he also smells great. but still...)
