Still waiting for a reply to this one:

Nick - why do you even want Ed to get back into Live? You've clearly stated you're more than happy with the solo work because you still get to hear Live songs and see Ed in concert and apparently there are "no noticeable drop offs". And since Ed was "the driving force" behind Live, then in your and his mind, why does he need Live or to go back to Live?
Seriously, why do you want him back in Live if it doesn't make any difference musically? I don't know if you can even answer that without the answer having something to do with something non musical (crowd drawings etc)

Nick has been dodging that very question for the past year.

I just can't understand any other reason apart from wanting Live to get more popular and Ed to get richer (none of which should have ANY baring on the enjoyment of the music) that he'd want Ed to go back to Live, assuming everything he's said in the past few years about how Ed is the be all and end all of Live and he's happy with him being solo is true?

He's gone to such great lengths to downplay CCP's importance and highlight Ed's importance and also great lengths to say he's happy with how everything is going for Ed now. So one way or the other as far as I can see it, Nick is exposed here - either he admits that Ed needs CCP and the name Live to survive which goes against everything he's ever told us or he shuts the fuck up and doesn't want a Live reunion with Ed in which case he has no business being on this site because he's effectively admitting he's done with Live.
Either way, I can't fathom Nick giving a response as to why he wants Ed to come back that has to do with THE MUSIC.

Personally, based on everything Nick has said so far, I'd have expected both Nick and the rest of the board to be in complete agreement, although for different reasons. That we don't want Ed back (well, most of us) because we are afraid he will go back to ruining Live's music, and Nick wouldn't want him to go back because he's just as happy with Ed on his own, thinks its just as good and that he doesn't need Live or the Live name. But I guess it just goes to show us that as usual, SJN is full of it.

He can't say it's "for the fans" because apparently, according to Nick AND Ed the fans are more than happy with the solo move and they're all really excited and enthusiastic about where it's going. IF Ed had decided "nope, I'm playing no Live song and I'm only playing solo songs", then I could see how it could be for the fans if he refused to play Live songs unless it was as part of Live. But the fans are apparently getting those same 12 songs that they want over and over and over. And it can't be for the music because apparently there are "no noticeable drop offs" ... so what else is left? Money. It's all about money. Sad.

So come on Nick, is it purely for the money or what because any other answer is just going to completely contradict everything you've been telling us for years.

Great post Pokey

I'd really love Nick to respond to this but we all know he won't.

I wonder how long this fb post will last.

LaToya Smith-Jackson http://www.sanluisobispo.com/2012/07/26/v-...ck-stardom.html Ed, when did you do this interview??? I just don't understand why you said York still sucks? Why aren't you trying to raise it up? Your whole family is still there. I can't imagine why you have abandoned it - especially when you're doing a show there this fall.

Bigger crowds and more touring opportunities*I would love to see LIVE on something like the Summerland tour. I'd be happy with LIVE and Ed solo, but Chad's most recent posts make me think things are better off apart for now.

It is a free country. If you buy tickets to an event, you can go.

Not really. If you are put on a "Do Not Admit" list, you can certainly be turned away. That's how it works. Sucks to be you. Sure you'll likely be refunded, but you'll still be forced to miss the show.
