No, But he's still touring as Ed Kowalczyk of Live!!
That's why it is confusing. He should tell the people he's not in Live.
But on topic, both Ed and Live can play their own songs.

Ed Kowalczyk of LIVE

Ed Kowalczyk formerly of LIVE

As long as they know he was the lead singer of LIVE and has access to playing LIVE material, it doesn't matter to venues or fans. LIVE 2.0 should hope that he keeps it as of LIVE, because than more people will attend LIVE shows thinking it is the original line-up.

Confusing who? As long as he is still playing LIVE songs, venues and fans don't care if he is or isn't in LIVE. They just want to hear the music from the person who wrote the lyrics.

I love how you speak for everyone all the time.

Why shouldn't they play THEIR OWN songs?
Damn, this circle is neverending I feel...

They are also Ed's songs.

And I didnt say they shouldnt play their own songs. Someone made a comment asking if Ed's audience numbers and bookings would be affected if he announced he would no longer play Live songs.

My point is that if Live were to announce that they would no longer play old Live songs (stick with the new stuff), what would happen to them?

Simply making a comparison. You take the old monster hits out of either of them, and they're going to be affected.

and you summed it up right there, good riddance to these people, I hope they're not at any Live gigs even if it means a hit to the numbers who cares when all you wanna do is "shake your money maker" with Ed Idol. You obviously don't connect with music at all beyond words/a voice.

How about Fleetwood Mac?

Lindsay Buckingham left in the late 80's and returned.

Christine McVie left and never came back.

They've just announced another tour for next year.

This!!

I guess he speaks for the casual fan (because he is one, just an obsessive one), he speaks for the people who just want to hear lightning crashes and then they're happy. Boring. zzzz
Same philosophy with his wrestling idol, who cares about interesting story (none anymore) or talented performers, people who try to actually ply a craft ... so long as he can see the leg drop, the hand to the ear and "hulking up" 500 million times he's happy. It's like a child who watches the same disney film over and over and ov .. oh wait.

Sounds like a good plan. I'm going to leave Live and go solo since people mainly want to see me play Live songs.

It doesn't matter? you fucking moron.
Of course it does matter!
It does matter to us, the real Live fans. Venues and Ed himself are informing people on the wrong way. He quit Live (or he was throwing coppered out of it, don't know).
He quit Live, you know: MOVING ON!

Of course. Now try to do away with the word LIVE and fucking let him play ONLY Live songs. How many people will come to see Ed Kowalczyk who spells his surname in the videos incorrectly?
QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Jul 23 2012, 6:09 pm) *

The same could be said for Ed, since he did write them.

How come TGF toured Holland without playing ANY of the Live or Cbox songs and several hundred people turned up?
