Ed is a nostalgia act because he is still trying to be Live when he is no longer in Live. Pineda is IN Journey. I don't know what he is doing now but if Steve Perry were playing shows of just old Journey songs then that would be a nostalgia act.

How about Fleetwood Mac?

Lindsay Buckingham left in the late 80's and returned.

Christine McVie left and never came back.

They've just announced another tour for next year.

I wonder, if Ed announced he was never going to play another Live song again, how his audience figures would be affected, and if some venues would no longer book him. Hmm...

I guess i agree with no one in this topic. Ed and Live both have the right to play their own songs. But indeed, Ed is confusing cause a lot of people think he's still in Live.

Confusing who? As long as he is still playing LIVE songs, venues and fans don't care if he is or isn't in LIVE. They just want to hear the music from the person who wrote the lyrics.

No, But he's still touring as Ed Kowalczyk of Live!!
That's why it is confusing. He should tell the people he's not in Live.
But on topic, both Ed and Live can play their own songs.
