I'm strongly considering having a company make up some high quality prints or canvases of some of Live's album covers. Some of the posters out there are good, but I think this could be truly special. I figured it would be a good idea to ask the crowd where to find (or if you have) the highest quality files for each album cover.

At the moment these are the files I have. Do you have better ones? Have you done something like this before and, if so, do you have any advice on a company to use (baring in mind I live in England)?

All thoughts and help greatly appreciated.

Cool idea, but you may run into copyright problems. It's technically illegal to reproduce this artwork, and at least in the USA and many online companies they have strict copyright rules.

Also, depending on how large you want to reproduce the art, and what medium, your files may not be high enough resolution. If you get printed on a canvas, it may mask some blurring or artifacts, but I would suggest digging around for higher-res files. I don't think I have anything I would consider high enough resolution for poster or art printing.

The Throwing Copper artwork would look awesome on a nice big canvas smile.gif

As you might know the picture / painting on this TC album is made by Peter Howson and is called "Sisters of Mercy".
Maybe you can find a better / higher resolution picture when you will look at these keywords.
Good luck.

I hadn't considered copyright issues. Hm! Thanks for the advice Berlinone.

So, no one else here on the forum has higher res files than I've put in that folder in the first post?

What copyright issues? You are printing in it all for yourself to hang on the wall and not to fucking seel it.

I agree with +Ed+ --> if you're not planning to sell these artpieces (and they are only for your own pleasure to watch these) --> don't bother about the copyrights I should say.
I only meant that on the Internet there might be a higher reolution available if you GOOGLE the painters site (Which I haven't done)

Lots of succes.

I will attempt some high quality 300/600 dpi scans from the original cd/LP covers and take it from there.

It might take me a few days or maybe a few weeks depending on how much free time I have. If you're not in a rush for 'em then cool smile.gif

That still doesn't mean a professional printer is allowed to reproduce the artwork. How do they know what your going to do with it?

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, or it's wrong, hell, I'm all for it! But you may have trouble finding a printer that will do it.
