I don't want to be a troll and be impatient, but Live has promised us an unreleased track when the site launches.

We should mail Chad Taylor about that, together, cause together we stand strong.

you're totally right. the four tracks re-recorded with Chris are great, but they are not what we were promised. I'm not sure if it's simply been a matter of not having time (the guys are super busy).

Write a letter. Threaten to whip them with wet noodles... that'll work!

LIVE The site will launch in a few weeks. This is a really content heavy site and we want to get it just right. Also, the tracks will ship when the site launches. Hope that helps.

Everyone knows I'm a big CCP supporter here, but I'm not going to blindly think they do no wrong, I'd like to think I'm fair and not bias, they did make a bit of a thing about the rare track on site launch and even the competition prize for the most sign ups and since the site has launched, not a peep. Even if we don't get the tracks - just a recognition that they even mentioned those things, if they can't follow through on them for whatever reason - just say so. If they're still on the way and delayed for whatever reason - just say so. But this is some EK "sweep it under the rug" stuff it seems haha. I don't think we should put the guys on a pedestal to the point where we shouldn't ever question anything they do ... we know they're human, we know how down to earth they are and have their flaws, that's what we appreciate about them. So maybe a gentle reminder or a question to them isn't a bad thing.
The worst thing we can do is be all "omg CCP you promised us some goodies and then didn't follow through on that - that's fantastic!!!"

But i don't understand why we Live fans haven't got anything when they promised us an unreleased track.

Maybe it's just me and i maybe have to stop with asking. I'm probably the only one who's wondering where our unreleased track is.

No, there are hundreds of people like you, me included. The only difference is that I do not whine, I sit and wait. The fans have been pushing for a website launch. You got it. Now what?

If we continue trying to run ahead of the train, there is a risk of being caught up by it. I better wait on my stop when it arrives.

I see what you're saying, and I agree, when there is no real timeframe on things then complaining about it won't make it come any faster. Like the new album for example, they know what they're doing, they're doing things their way and in their time and in the end that'll be the right thing because it'll produce the best art.

BUT

In the mean time while we wait, they did put specific expectations out there (which I think the ownness is on them for delivering). They said when the site launches we'd get a little something ... not to mention the competition winner (which I'm not whinging about because I know I won't win, but someone out there would have and....). I just don't think that because of their position that they should never be questioned about anything, that enters into SJN worship territory where the bald headed God shall never be questioned. I think it's fair enough to ask questions of them.
As I said, if there is a reason it couldn't be done or or a delay, it doesn't take much to just say "hey guys we haven't forgotten, just sit tight a bit longer because bla bla bla".
Otherwise it seems like it's just been swept under the rug to hopefully be forgotten about.

With something that we KNOW is coming, like the album, I don't think anything needs to be said, we might want it sooner, but we know they are working on it, so I agree that you just let that play out in its own time.

Sitting around and doing or saying nothing doesn't always weild results ... think of that amazing letter that CT wrote to us, it was people like you and Merica who's questioning got that off the ground and got us that amazing response. If you always sit back and wait for things to happen to you, then generally in life you don't get very far. It's the true meaning of Karma that works in some of these situations - you put something out, you get something back. You feed positive energy out, you receive positive energy back.

If you promise the fans an unreleased track, you have to give it. Never break a promise.

I'd say it's probably fine to try and prod for, at least, information on what the status is. They said there'd be some rare material / tracks on offer upon launch which got our appetites right up, so I don't think we'd be out of order enquiring about it. Maybe a gentle push through a virtual, mutual acquaintance the majority of us share with CCP.
