Yeah, it remains a weird story. Did you know Hoodie, that this track was played on the Dutch radio as "the new/first Ed Kowalczyk solo song"?

Anyway, I think it might be like this:

It was in the period he just gone solo. And if I remember correctly, Live wasn't even officially done yet. He must have had all kind of ideas, the acoustic Zion was one of it, DWLF was another that he made with some other (eastern?) artist. At the time he wrote more songs and started to record, he gathered that 'amazing band' that he recorded with, so it just turned out to be a normal pop-rock album. DWLF obviously didn't fit in.

I think the artist's name was Karsh Kale

Just dug this track out of the gutter and gave it a spin. Pokey was right about this. Easily better than nearly everything that went onto Alive. For a few seconds post-break up it seemed Ed might be (at least) interesting again when he dropped this. And then he released Alive.

I heard a Karsh Kale song on XM radio yesterday. You could say his song with Ed is a total diversion, much like Evolution Love

Yeah? That's interesting. Cool enough. As a one off little experiment, I quite like it to be honest. Better than listening to In Your Light etc.

Not a fan of the lyrics or Zion stuff, but I appreciate taking the chance on something totally different.

I don't get why it totally disappeared from his site and from youtube.
