And why do we have to make a new thread each time we think of him?

I'll play

He's from California, LA burbs. Got his musical taste from music class where a friend came in an played guitar. Lit his fuse, for wanting to play. He got his first guitar at say 11 or 12 and he's not put it down since. He's credited his friend with wetting his appetite for the guitar!!!

His influences are mostly 70-80's classic rock. Who, Hendrix, Zeppelin are big. He can play anything, and I mean anything!!!

He practices when he's not on stage quite a bit. He needs more exposure. thumbsup.gif

Does anyone know if he played on any of the new Live tracks that are now ready for Shinn's vocals? I know CB has been touring, but with all of these new studio tools to collaborate I'm guessing he may have had some input without physically being there?

Not 100% sure, but he may have in the spring when he was not touring with CB.

I just started learning to play guitar. I have taken a few lessons and the other day I was talking to my instructor about what he does and it turns out he has a heavy metal band. He's really cool. Then he told me that his band opened for Candlbox. He was at the TGF show in Philly and he loves the album. Then he says he knows Kevin Martin. Kevin helped produce his band's last album. And he knows Sean Hennessy. And he mentioned that he taught Memphis the proper way to play a Metallica riff that Kevin was doing wrong. I was like omg.gif

By the way - as soon as I master the guitar, I want to be called "Memfish"

Seannie O'Boy hails from Lancaster, CA (ironically enough). A shit-ass town in the California desert just down the highway from my former shit-ass town of Victorville. Feel sorry for us both, but happy that we both got out!

Here's his solo from last night: http://youtu.be/ZEo_ID6eQDc

I'm trying to imagine how much guitar playing takes place in fish's lessons smile.gif thumbsup.gif

Am I getting busted on for being verbose? Because if so, I have a ten page retort just waiting to get posted! lol.gif

P.S. - there was a typo in my previous post. I meant to say that Sean had trouble playing the Metallica riff, not Kevin.

I would say today, Memphis could play "any" riff with those sick skills of his!

Let's just say that the poor kid who takes a lesson after me always has his lesson start late and he gives me a very dirty look when we pass in the hall...

CANDLEBOX & THE GRACIOUS FEW GUITARIST TO PLAY ON NEW ALBUM FROM THE INFINITE STAIRCASE

Candlebox and The Gracious Few Guitarist SEAN HENNESY will be working with THE INFINITE STAIRCASE and engineer MIKE FERRETTI at Architekt Music on the band’s new album.

Hennesy’s collaboration follows the recent announcement and sessions of Sevendust and Call Me No One Drummer Morgan Rose working with THE INFINITE STAIRCASE on the band’s sophomore effort. Brothers Lenny & Jeff Cerzosie have been working pre-production at their home recording facility, Majickly Malicious Studios in Staten Island, New York but have begun tracking the new album with Rose at Architekt Music in Butler, New Jersey.

Footage and photographs of The Infinite Staircase, Morgan Rose and Mike Ferretti at Architekt Music can be found on the band’s facebook and youtube pages, collectively.

Hennesy is currently out on the road with CANDLEBOX promoting their new album, ‘Love Stories and Other Musings’.

THE INFINITE STAIRCASE released its debut album, "The Road Less Taken", in March of 2009 before embarking on "The Black Label Bash" tour with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, SEVENDUST and DOPE. The album was mixed by guitar virtuoso BLUES SARACENO (POISON) and featured guest appearances by SARACENO and EARL SLICK (DAVID BOWIE). After a year-long hiatus following a much-publicized and still ongoing dispute with former drummer Paris Bierk (son of ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach), and a few sporadic and special acoustic performances (including a 2010 performance with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY Bassist John JD DeServio) this is the first official announcement of the band’s continuity.
