Yeah like "Simple Creed" and the rest of "V".

Exactly.

As for being a huge hit, what is better on the radio today? That new sack of shit song from The Chili peppers? Bad Day by that geek dude? Or savin' me for Nickel fucking back?

Mystery isn't a bad song and is definately the best of the bunch live. I can see it being a hit just because CHRIS sings it with them tonight on AI. That guy has a million followers who are going to buy this cd just for that reason. So who cares if it's a hit? People are going to buy it and it will spark a new interest in the band.

Should also draw some noobs to feed to the wolves here too! You nasty bastards.

Mystery is my girlfriend's favorite song from Songs From Black Mountain. She really isn't a Live fan, and if she doesn't like something by them she tells me straight out. For instance, she absolutely hated Like I Do. She is a Hot A/C music fan, and not a fan of hard rock at all. To me she is the barometer of the audience Live is trying to currently reach.

To me, Mystery and Night of Nights are the two best songs on SFBM. I don't think Mystery is as catchy as The River as a single, but I think it much more like Live and an overall better song. It should do well on radio, but you can never tell. For instance that awful Juicy song by Better than Ezra is becoming a force on Hot A/C radio just because its the theme song of Desperate Housewives. Radio programmers play it even though it totally sucks and is an embarrassing single for a good band.

So you can't predict what will be a radio hit, but Mystery has a very good chance depending on what happens tonight on American Idol. If one song is to be a hit on this album, it will be Mystery.

So........ is that what you do to the "newbies"? Ooooooooh, I'm scared!

Personally, I love Mystery. Not my favorite song on the cd, but still a very marketable song. It should do great with the AI fans.

Yeah we really are going to see a nice spurt of n00bs joining the board. It's sorta sad that this message board is better than the friendsoflive.com board. This board is just easier for fans to join and post on compared to SOY.

I was thinking Mental Jewelry as well as some of V and Birds of Pray, but to each his own.

I've loved "Juicy" ever since Before the Robots leaked back in like February 2005. And it kicks ass in concert; they lead into it with Rolling Stones' "Miss You."

That said, I'll once again say that "Mystery" is my favorite song on the album and was instantly my choice for the next single as soon as I heard the version with strings. In fact, I didn't really care for the song very much till I heard the new version.

Well, the Palladium live version was indeed much better than the album version. So if it's an indication, good then.

And it being the new single, I'd agree that they should sing it. However, it isn't the best song to perform live, imo.

Anyway, it should be a big moment, so they should give it all to kick major ass.

Should be interesting to see how many people come on here as a result of the performance tonight. I'll be posting a recording of the performance after the show is over. (There is also supposed to be a download that you will be able to buy online too, but I'm not sure when or where that'll go up).

I'm actually worried.

"Mystery" is out of Chris Daughtry's vocal range, so I'm worried he'll fuck his part up or something.
