Funny thing is that it will be a Live show. Advertised as a Live show. Nothing misleading or dishonest. Kind of a big fact you are overlooking. Ed of Live is a lie - no way around it.

I doubt that anyone who goes to a Live concert with Chris Shinn will feel suckered because I am betting that Live will proudly announce and promote Chris Shinn as the new lead singer of Live. The promotional posters will include his photo. Their new album will include him. They will press release it. They will NOT try to hide from it and try to dupe concert-goers into buying tickets for a show at which they believe Ed will be singing.

Also, you are comparing apples to oranges. You need to be smart enough to understand the distinction. The issue here is that Ed is trading on Live's name and misleading people into thinking that he is still the bona fide lead singer of Live - which he isn't. He is using Live - which is owned by CCP - to sell his tickets. And he is not legally able to do that. One cannot legally commericalize the brand and the image and likeness of a known entity if they do not have the legal right or license to do it. The same goes with the royalties on the sale of recordings of performances of Live songs that Ed sells on his website.

Nick - I have got to ask you a question that I want you to answer. If Ed recorded performances of Live songs and sold them and did not pay royalties to the company that owns the rights to those songs which is owned 25% each by Ed, Chad, Chad, and Patrick, then do you agree that is wrong? Do you agree that is just as wrong as if Blake Shelton recorded Lightening Crashes and sold it on iTunes and made millions of dollars and never paid Black Coffee one cent for the royalties. Or if the song I Alone was used in a movie and included on the soundtrack of that move, and the studio never paid Black Coffee one cent for the rights? If you agree that this was wrong, then how can you support Ed at all despite that agregious act?
