As I said, Opine, I don't agree he should be banned. And I can say that ignoring him gets easier every day. Because there is SOO MUCH EXCITEMENT and POSITIVITY around here... he can't radiate his darkness over the light of new Live... he'll go away...

I understand that dq but I still feel he shouldn't be banned for reasons such as he intentionally tries to anger people and is mean spirited. If someone doesn't have enough self control to ignore or better yet not read a quoted post, that ain't on Nick.

in the same way you ignore a spoiled child until he stops throwing a tantrum. The issue, really, though, is that he's just mean spirited as if CCP have personally injured him. And there's no good reason for him to come here and piss in all of our cheerios. I don't agree with banning him, because I know children learn better when intrinsically motivated...

Opine, the issue is not that he likes Ed (I like Ed) and doens't like CCP - the issue is that he's said more than once that he's done with this band, and comes here JUST TO PISS PEOPLE OFF. most of us are trying really hard to not let that happen

Its not silencing because of the opinion, the opinion is fine, its what goes along with it in this particular isolated case.

I'm speaking only about the level of pettiness for each action being no different, not effectiveness. Both actions are striving for the same outcome. I feel it's petty and a heap of other adjectives to attempt to silence others for their opinion. Just my opinion.

No, not at all, I see a big difference between giving rep, which lets face it is pretty pointless and passive aggressive, and removing a negative influence from the board which is actually taking action.
