The votes have been tallied, and the fans have chosen Ivan Romanov and The Echoes (featuring Dmitri Pavlotski) cover of "Simple Creed " as the winner of the 2006 FansOfLive Cover Contest, having received 52% of all votes! The runner-up was Heroincredible's cover of "Raising The Man", which received 24% of all votes. The winner and runner-up will have the chance to submit up to 2 additional tracks each to be featured on the site if they so wish. Thanks goes out to everyone who submitted a cover in the years contest, as well as to everyone who participated in the voting process! The 2 winning entries will be available for download below and also in the new Cover Contest area of the MP3 Section (which will also feature downloads from previous contest winners, but only for a limited time).

The 2006 Live Cover Contest began on April 3rd and ended on June 2nd. Voting began on June 12th and ended on July 2nd.

1) Limit of 2 entries per person/band
2) Forms of entries may include: covers, duets, remixes, collaborations, etc.
3) Covers of +Live+ material only (however, songs such as "Supernatural" are allowed)
4) All entries must be received in mp3 format, encoded at no less than 128 kbps
5) The following info must be accompanied with each entry(s) - Full name(s) of entrant(s), Full location of entrant(s) [city/state/country], and a e-mail address to be contacted at
6) All entries must be e-mailed to contest@fansoflive.com (if you are unable to e-mail your entry, please contact me and I will arrange for you to transfer it to me via my FTP server or via another method)
7) This contest is open to ALL residents (including ALL domestic and international countries)

US $50 will be awarded to the grand prize winner and US $25 will be awarded to the runner-up. The grand prize winner will also have the option to have more of their material featured on the site. Voting began on June 12th. For this years contest, voters had to choose from all of the entries in a polling system. Entries were paired-up against each other in 4 voting round, in which the voter had to choose from. There were 4 rounds of voting, the last of which will ended on July 2nd.lOnly registered members of the Message Board were allowed to vote in this years contest. (Due to abuse in past years contests, guest voting was not allowed). The winners were announced on July 3rd.
